I have no idea who this number belongs to, nor do I know anyone from the Toronto area. And..... I'm 65 years old and have been married to the same person...
- 2So, what were the details of this "scam"? "scam" tells so little. Were they offering a fake loan? Perhaps, taking you to court for a debt? Was it maybe a "relative" in jail and you need to send them bail money? Or was it something different? There are so many possibilities, so many details you have...
- 2Although an innocent error is possible, it is more likely an attempt at a "wrong number" text scam and subsequent "pig butchering." Block the number and forward the text to 7726 (SPAM). That will alert your carrier and they will investigate. Here is some info on this scam and how it works....
