- 2Called claiming to be from US department of Treasury asking for full legal name, SSN & date of birth and address. Refused to provide any information about the nature of the call unless I provide all of my personal identifying information. Block them if you can.
- 2Same - apparently I mistakenly signed up for a 6 mo auto-renewal of my antivirus, and my credit card will be automatically charged. (..yeah, riiight {eyeroll} )
- 1Text wants me to verify account info. This is a scam. I do not have an Americann Express account.
- 6Grace, that may be true but it would still be prudent to tell them you will call back using the published number of the bank. What is the name of this bank? Why isn't that name on their caller ID? Numbers can be spoofed and scammers are clever so be cautious with your financial information.
