Reject calls

I have a growing list of phone numbers that I have placed on my "reject calls" list for my phone.  Now I am getting calls from outside numbers as displayed on my phone as they are calling but as soon as I answer them, there is nobody there and it then displays "anonymous"...……..I am getting really tired of these calls and why can't there be something done about it?

ps - The calls that have no response are either Reconnaissance Calls or when you picked up, a live scammer was not available to connect at that time.
