- slightkc| 3 repliesThis one call came in at 6:30pm... long after most real businesses should have shut down for the day. Especially since the phone number is an east-coast number (413-442-1477). No idea what it is, who it is, etc. If anyone has any info, would appreciate it so I would feel confident about blocking it. Thanks!
- yef replies to slightkcYou should be posting in the number thread for that number: https://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/4134421477
- Buntybunny| 1 replySome numbers that have been checked need to be put on here. I reported a number as suspicious and came over to the forum to post about it. I had a call from 07711541518, lady said who's that, I replied that I was just going to say the same thing. She said, “I haven't got time to talk” and put the phone down. I believe that it was someone checking my phone number. The last time I inserted my phone number was yesterday to sign in to Samsung. The sign in was unsuccessful as I didn't receive a confirmation text or email with a code to use to sign in. Double security, asking people to confirm who they are by entering a code sent by text or email, is giving spammers access to information. We are not going to sign you up, or sign you in, until you confirm who you are. Take care and stay safe. 🐰
- Buntybunny replies to slightkc| 1 replyI get your point, folks need to have their mind put at rest over unexpected or suspicious calls. After you have checked the number, come back and let us know, I'd be interested to know. If it's a number not recognized, it could be someone checking to see if there is anyone in your business premises. I live in a little old village in Suffolk, UK, folks are often checking suspitious or unusal things, that's what keeps us safe. Take care and stay safe. 🐰
- B-Edwards replies to BuntybunnyI see you posted in the thread for this number. That is the best place for your report and thoughts you have about the calls, since this site is really number driven. Thanks for posting and sharing your views.
-- 100% right that in smaller towns people tend to talk about calls and scams that are active in their area. Some newspapers, out local library, church groups and police departments post useful info here. - JackReacher replies to Buntybunny
Which you did by posting in the correct number thread so there is no reason to be redundant and post here. That isn't what the forum threads are for.Quote:Some numbers that have been checked need to be put on here.
