Yet another one of these scams. I feel sorry for those people who actually believe them and give their details.

Got a call from this number this evening. Somehow they knew my name both first and surname! which is worrying as I have been extremely careful and have only ever given my mobile number out. When I was passed the phone they hung up like all they wanted to do was to check that I am at this particular landline. Is that possible? If so who are these guys working for is what come to my attention. Clearly that digital crap is just a cover

Had a call from this number today to my uk mobile but as i live in germany i tend to leave my mobile in bedroom as i never answer it any way as i get charged. After readin a few comments on here mention sky it made me wonder as i emailled sky last night about an old bill and its a bit of a coincidence if it aint sky. Suppose i should check my email to see if they replied......

Same stupid "but we are Sky authorised" calls this week. Now time to look them up and it looks like a classic scam from all the comments here.

Looks like a trading name for the infamous scam DIGITAL SATELLITE WARRANTY COVER LTD and

Called from this number by silent caller. Thought it was a pervert, but instead I'm glad to hear that it was a  cheating lying fraudsman. When they calll again I'll teach then how we deal with such callers here!

Man rang me today from that number, he addressed me by my full name and said my Sky cover had expired. I've had a lot of calls like that over the years. I said 'No it hasn't' and hung up, then, as I've signed up for 'Call barring' with BT, I was able to bar further calls from that number.

Tried to con me by telling me that I did not have protection with Sky as they only a broadcasting company and that they are not allowed to sell protection.  She soon put the phone down on me when I said you are not from sky and I have protection and I can prove it.  An older person on their own might have got conned by them and i think it is time they were stopped.

The guy actually said my warranty was coming to an end. He got very flustered when I told him it was a second hand box off ebay

Rang me today 04/08/2011 at approx 1700 hrs.  Said they were taking over the maintainence of my Sky Box as warrenty ran out end August.
Money taken by Direct Debit - appeared to know some of my bank details and I like a fool filled them in on the rest.
Spoke to a Billy-Joe and a Tony would ring back in an hour.
Surprise, surprise no call from Tony
Sky had not heard of the Telephone number and the company they deal with don't charge the same amount as I was quoted.
Sky Box warrenty doesn't end until next year

Youngish Liverpool lady trying to get me to buy sky repair cover over the phone - would not send any paperwork.  got a call similar to this from Becky at 0800 5677149 so wouldnt deal with her.  Not as persistent a Becky was!

This number called me yesterday , she knew my name, obviously my number and that I had a sky package. She was very forceful in trying to get me to renew my Sky cover . Alarm bells started to ring with me because I have just renewed my cover through Sky, so I began to question who she was etc. She abruptly hung up. Don't give out any details, in fact, save this number on your phone as 'spam' to avoid taking the call.

Just received a call from this mob claiming that my Sky breakdown cover was about to expire.  Told me I could renew in two ways - annually at £89 or monthly with the first month at £25 then the rest at £7.50.  They read out my address to me which I confirmed then asked for my bank details.  Told them I would check my cover out and call them back.  I called Sky who told me my cover is valid until February 2012 so I called the company back (Digital Maintenance Ltd) and told them exactly what had happened and that they were trying to gain access to my bank account.  They guy then told me that the phone call I received wouldn't have been like that at all as their calls are scripted.  He said they don't have information about my breakdown cover.  he couldn't get it into his thick skull why I was complaining, after all I only received a call telling me my cover was going to expire and my due payment date was 1st of the month but apparently they don't even know if I have cover. COWBOYS!!!!

Had several calls from this number - why isn't Sky doing anything about it as they appear to have access to our sky contract details?!!!!!

Just had a call from a lady from this number 26/08/11 asking to speak to someone who used to live in my house before we bought it 2 years ago. how did they get my MOBILE number??? from messages here it clear that rom Sky, as he had sky too!!

just had a phone call from this number , he was extremely nice & assured me he was from sky & knew alot about me & my sky equipment - had an odd feeling just before passing on my bank details - so decided to ask to call him back - hence phoned SKY themselves,and they told me they were not working for sky !!  - happy i used my instinct
