received this call about 5 mins after those other scammers "UK Today" had phoned up - wasted his time as well asking about where he had got my name and number from

Yup, they left a message the other day saying I'd opted in to messages from the financial industry, then today they disconnected as soon as I answered. I'm registered with the TPS and ex directory so I assume they just ring random numbers as I'm pretty averse to allowing anyone to ring me for anything!

01542842715 Scamming again, this time I was told by recorded message that I had opted IN to get rid of my debt of £10,000 or more, dont have any debt so ring another day and try another scam.
Just about fed up with all these calls, something should be done!!!

Yet another call from these wretched people, must be in double figures now over a short period of time. I have never been in debt thank God, and would certainly not call on these people if I was so why do they keep on harrassing fed up members of society? Despite all these posts about this and other pond life scams the government appear powerless (or "couldn't care" less) to do anything about it. I bet if David Cameron or Ed Milliband had to answer these calls constantly they would then sit up and tale notice!!

I keep getting this number calling, so if I'm working from home, I now put it on speaker phone and press 5, then place the phone next to the radio blasting out Planet Rock.

This time I heard the caller say "I don't like calls like that!"

It should be possible in this age of technology to stop this type of nuisance calling. Given the nature of the calls, there is little doubt that criminal intent is involved.
