You were indeed lucky.  This lot have another number on here where one of their employees said that a 93 year old lady, who had been conned into giving her card details, was so stupid she shouldn't have a 'phone! When taken to task about this he simply descended into abuse.  What a lovely lot.

Was called by these people claiming to be from the Refund Department in Swansea.  Immediately I was on the alert, but it could have been genuinely from the DVLA.  Told them my number was tsp listed and was hung up on.  Very very naughty of them not to give a company name and I think this warrants action.

I was called from this number and entered into a discussion with the caller but he wanted me to disclose my debit card number after informing me he could claim back 19000 . I said I will claim myself for ppi and other insurances against my mortgage etc, he said you need to use a claim company. I must say he was very convincing until he asked for money upfront.

I was called 4 months ago by this company.
Contrary to the above comments I had a rather good experience.

Again im one of these who are not tricked into giving card details over the phone especially when there are free claim companies out there. But once explained exactly what they do as a company it just goes to show, you get what you pay for !

I had  14 different agreements and was charged £990 for looking into these ( i had no idea i was owed anything)
Instantly regretted my decision & panicked when I saw the 990 on my c/c statement !
Naturally I rang them back to get this refunded but was advised to maintain MINIMUM payments on my balance whilst the claim is going through .....
Nonetheless I took their word for it and I'm very glad I did .

As of now of 14 separate claims I have already had 7 refunded at a total of £11000 with another 7 to go.

I think through reading these majority of people against this company didn't take them up on their service & assumed that it's a scam. To those I say :
I've been paid out, had their credentials checked out directly with the MOJ and im VERY happy I had them go to work for me. Needless to say I sent the man who set my claim up a bottle of wine to thank him!

How touching.  This wonderful company did all this for you  so you decided to look them up on a site for reporting unknown, unwanted and scam calls.   Just to see if anyone had nasty things to say about them.  When you found four whole pages of complaints you felt you just had to put the record straight. If you expect people to believe your post you must think they were born yesterday.  I suppose that with the new Consumer Law which came into force last week, you thought you had better do some damage limitation.  For anyone not aware of this law, it states that Claims Management Companies can no longer take money from us when they 'phone.  They have to send out paperwork and receive back a signed agreement before they can ask for money.  Its amazing how many of these companies have suddenly disappeared and no doubt this one will not be far behind.

iCant believe my luck,I fell for their scam too, can't believe I gave my card details. Fortunately my credit card company declined payment as it was rather a large sum, and was not like my usual pattern of spending. I then had a call from 01792 number when I asked what they wanted he said its John  we are buying a golf coarse together ,just hung up . Prat some seriously sick people out there.

i myself have dealt with ifonic claims a few weeks ago and its fair to say they did what they said they would do, ok yes i had to pay £990 but they processed 17 claims for myself, i have already received the amount of £8560 back into my account which as ifonic said would clear the £990 they put on my credit card

every company will have bad things said about it, but even tho reading this and working in a call centre before the amount of data you got through this is a small portion of complaints and spread out over dates so went through with it and it worked

beware of this company Ifonic claims. They are a bunch of scammers. tried it with me & told all sorts of lies. the boss, Cliff stanford has replied to many post about the company on the Moneysavingexpert forum, and on Consumeraction group, stating,

I am Cliff Stanford, managing director of Cerys-Angharad Limited which trades as Ifonic Claims. I'd like to take a moment to clarify this situation for the other members of this forum.

•We are a regulated claims management company with a good relationship with the MoJ. All calls are monitored and recorded. If a complaint had been made, either to us or the MoJ, the call would have immediately been checked to ensure that no undue pressure was applied. If the call was not correctly handled, the agent in question would no longer have a job. We take our reputation very seriously.

Just put the phone down on a Welsh-sounding lass calling from Ifonic. Told me that I MUST claim back thousands from my credit card company without delay, which I have been overcharged. She seemed baffled when I said that as I always pay off any balance every month (the card is only used maybe 3 or 4 times a year) I have never incurred any charges, so how can I claim back what I have not paid? Having read some other posts it seems I've had a narrow escape!

This is a scam where you are assured that it will cost you nothing whilst your credit card details are squeezed out of you.   They then approach the card you have given and try and take £693.   THIS IS A MAJOR SCAM AND RING OFF AS SOON AS YOU KNOW WHO IS CALLING

Wow, just had a call off the same bloke, same number, same crap, however when he asked for my card details I informed him I did not give bank details over the phone, he then gave me the "you will be missing out" chat.  I told him my daughter had my card at the hairdressers as I had left my bag with her by mistake and could he call me back in an hour when she would be home...I will wait and see if he does call back.

He is quite cheeky though as he asked me what my daughter was doing with my card.

Came on line of course in the interim to check their details and certainly did not have to look far.

Had a call from some person called Dan Scott, claimed he can get me up £12000 back against my CC.
Strange thing is I had to take action against a person from Wales who worked for Uswitch some years back with the same name, can these be the same people? They were based in company called SA12 in Port Talbot, Wales.

Total rip off and he sounds like an idiot, calling me babes and darling.

Keep away from this company and this Mr Scott he lies and falsifies information...beware
