Angry !! - called 30 mins ago! (and allday today)


Just been having these calls for the past week and today the mother of all days on my mobile too (with no answer and sometimes claiming to be Halifax asking for lots of details for their security and surveys! afterwhich  I called Halifax asking about this number they do not know anything about) same number as above and now they also have my home number!!! - they just called me now I picked up the first time - there was silent then hung up! Then they called again and again I refused to pick up this number. I am so angry!

These people ring me daily, never speak when I answer and never leave a message - doing my head in!

asked the Halifax about this number and they have confirmed it IS NOT one of their numbers and not to give details to these people, they wre looking in to this

have has several calls from this number, every time i answer they ring off

just hd another call from them , saying they were the halifax bank, wanting me confirm my date of birth etc. when i asked why she was caliling my mobile, appoligised and said she would call again  sounded american

Receiving at least 8 calls a day for weeks now from 08445811015. Nobody responds when I answer the call or when I ring back. I'm going to change my number. Disgusted that this cannot be stopped.

I have had several calls from these clowns, say they are Halifax, definitley bogus though, want my post code or date of birth. They call me a minute ago, it got heated they rang, so I googled the number and myself writing this. Not sure if I should call Halifax.

This number has called me for the first time today and said they were the Halifax after a man that did not live at my address. Did not cound official, and when I called the number back, it said 'you have recieved a call from one of our representatives and they will call you back', but it didn't say who they were.

My bank and ID details were stolen last night on the internet after I replied to an email from paypal (or seemed to be)and then recieved this call today. Perhaps this is connected!?

I'm horrified about all of this!

have rang me 5 or 6 times these last few days. when i ring back a message says "a representative rang you" but neglect to mention the company! how the hell did they get my number? the phone and contact is 2 month old???

have rang me 5 or 6 times on home phone and on mobile . They say they are phoning form Halifax and start trying to ask you your postcode + DOB. Refuse to answer and they say I will continue to receive these calls.

I have been called numerous times by this number but the 'real' halifax says they know nothing of this and that i should not give ANY details to this number. i have spoken to them twice and when questioned they make several slip ups on information. Pretty sure its a scam! also, they may charge when you call back so just ignore it i suggest.

I've received no end of calls from both these numbers... 08445811014 also an 0203 number which I can't remember. The 0844 number calls my home and mobile several times a day. My partner picked up the phone and said I wasn't around, who is it and do you want to leave a message... They declined. I've also had loads of calls with know one at the other end

I can confirm the calls are not coming from Halifax! I am actually a manager for Bank of Scotland and I too have been receiving these phone calls. I have recently just had my line installed in a brand new flat and wondered where on earth these people got my number. After speaking to customers with the same problem I realised it must be a scam. Again, it has been a foreign accent asking me to confirm an address! Just so you know its not halifax who disclose these details because I do not bank with Halifax, I bank with clydesdale!

unfortunatly this is halifax,the collared me today,as i was expecting a call from a similar number,i know its not a scam as she,in a northern irish accent told ME how much i owed them,but yes they do constantly call with dead lines.

I have been called by this number twice on my  mobile today and twice on my landline today. They are claiming to be from Halifax. If they are not, then it is disturbing that they have both of my phone numbers, my name  and they know that I bank with Halifax. I find it hard to believe that they are First Assist  as they are phishing for personal details and passwords etc.. If they are not Halifax then where did they get the info from and surely they should be reported and closed down by BT? Looking at the threads above, it looks like Halifax are leaking/sharing information or else have an insider who is stealing our details.

This IS Halifax credit card payments.  You have misses a payment or gone over the limit!  Check your statement.

They have been calling me for hte last 3 days....how do they get your mobile number????

been getting these calls for a few days... refused to give them any details.

coincidentally i have just missed a credit card payment by 5 days - just settled up online though. so i guess there's a chance it *may* be genuine, but i'm not taking any risks.

i would say to everyone else: check your bank statements, you may be behind on your payments (can happen to us all!) but DON'T give these unprofessional clowns any personal details.
