Got a call from this number (08448466519) but missed it.  Didn't leave a message and cant find out who it was

Any ideas??

It is a company apparently called Crystal Debt Advisory, based in Leicester but calling from India. They are trying to do the IVA thing. I want to know where they got my number from as I have no debts.......

I too received a call from a Jamal Patel. He claims that CDA are offering a government sponsored scheme to write off all debts. Upon enquiring further he admitted that this was an IVA & suggested that this was something new. He refused to provide a return number.

Ironically I am a Senior Examiner at the Insolvency Service, which is part of the Department of Business Innovation & Skills, so I am very familiar with IVAs, which have in fact been in existence for more than two decades. Furthermore my number is registered with the TPS, so CDA clearly do not adhere with TPS guidelines. I intend to follow this matter up internally, so if anyone has any further information regarding this company please post it here & I shall forward it to the relevant bodies.

this company is getting on my bloody nerves. they have been ringing me on and off for a year now. i tell them i am not interested and to not phone again but they take no notice and continue to call. i have a young baby and they have woken her up on a number of occasions now when they call up to 8pm! i have lost my temper with them a few times now and asked to speak to a manager they never do anything other than then put me on hold and then clear the line. i stopped to calls for a while when i put a bar on witheld  numbers calling me ( they used to withold) but now they using this number the calls are comming througgh again. this has to stop! these companies should not be allowed to pester us!

i am constantly getting nuisance calls from this number just found out who they were cant understand why they still call when i withheld number bar on phone they got through before but didnt withhold number the advisor is the same man calling and puts the phone down and doesnt seem to listen something should be done to stop these harrassing calls made to us all

I was called by someone from this number a few minutes ago, no-one spoke. I am on TPS also.

I have just had a call from this number... I have caller id and didn't answer but when I checked 1571 they hadn't left a message. I've just had a baby three days ago, I'm tired and hormonal and really don't need calls like this in the middle of the evening...

i have recieved 7 calls from this number in 2 days and have told them i am not interested in paying off debts as they said in the call but they won't stop ringing please advise

Contact BT and ask for their "choose to refuse" service.  It's free for 30 days and you can block upto 10 telephone numbers.  It will automatically be cancelled after 30 days unless you choose to keep it going then I believe the charge is in the region of £9.00 a quarter.  I'm definitely going to give it a go as I'm fed-up of being harassed!!

Just had 6 calls in the last half hour from this number, and I am now getting seriously p'd off. This number is now calling at least three times on a daily basis.  I have now put my number straight thru to ansafone so I get some peace for the rest of the day.  I too am on TPS, don't have any debt so how they or why they keep calling beats me.  Isn't it about time the government did something about this?

They won't take no for ananswer. I am going to start answering with an expletive.

these people have just rang me saying they were from the Advice Bureau. I asked them which one and the Indian sounding chap said The Debt Advice Bureau. My heckles instantly went up! I've previously had loads of calls from this seriously annoying company but my caller ID previously showed their number as 0301. If you search for that number on this site there is more info on this company. They don't take no for an answer, they carry on calling you even if you tell them you don't have any debts. I'm registered with the TPS and i'm ex-directory. I've previously asked how they got hold of my phone number and all  they told me is that i'm on a list and can't be taken off it. The company behind these calls needs shutting down permanently. Maybe it's time to get Watchdog on the case - the thought of having Anne Robinson on their back might stop them from cold calling us!

ive just had them also 6 timesthey have called all sounds leg but i'm to suspicious of them

Telephoned about 5.30pm  using the 0161 241 2080 which i never answered but i got the number from 1471. Then had a phonecall about an hour later from this number. None english speaking person began bY asking for me. I asked who was calling and he said Crystal Debt Advisory, he went on to tell me that due to a government scheme i could write off debt. I let him have his 5 mins then explained that i had my number on the TPS and should not be receiving these calls. he apologised and told me that i would receive no more calls. Judging by other comments left i'm not so sure that will happen.

i have been recieving for the last 6 months silent phonecalls and calls from an indian chap re debt from the numbers 01612412080 & 08448466519. i have been told their crystal debt whose details are tel no.01277202010. fax no 01277202012, email accounts@crystalcollections.com. The main director is Mr David Hope. I have sent a email to them, whether it will stop it i dont know.I have recieved 3 silent calls from both numbers in the last hour.

this indian man is calling me constantly, i have told him in no uncertain terms that i do not need his help as i have no debt but he wont take no for an answer. He is very aggresive towards me and i feel scared. On the point of calling the police as i am so scared by him. Am part of tps but this seems to make no difference.

This company keeps ringing me. It's got to the stage that I will no longer answer my phone, meaning of course that I miss relevant calls.My husband answered this morning and we got a silent call. I rang back and spoke to what sounded like an African guy. I told him in no uncertain terms to stop ringing my number and hung up on him. How can these companies keep harrassing us. Why can't BT or some such do something? I'm disabled and do not need this sort of problem.

Got a call from this number and my little sister picked it up and told them i wasnt hear. They cheekily called my mum's number....i've not lived here for 18months now and asked for me then had the cheek to ask for my dad instead!!!
Will they not relent? I hope they call back whilst i'm still here...i'll be giving them a piece of my mind. I've just came out of hospital this morning and so dont need this sort of stress. Im only 23 for heavens sake and ive got enough to deal with already.

I am having calls from Crystal Debt Advisory on a regular basis, some are silent calls and they just hang up.  The person they are asking for does not even live at my address.  The caller from CDA becomes abusive if you do not give any information or question their call - one India "gentleman"?? even called me a F****** B****.  How can we stop these calls?  Something surely can be done?  This is surely a form of harassment?
