Get calls from this number every 3 days. It rings once or twice and before I answer they hang up. I can not get through when I try to call back. It is starting to get a bit irritating as it's kind of like the children's game of knocking on the door and running away!!!!

This person also calls me and hangs up after I answer it or there is just silence. Initially I received one per day, then two per day and I have just received my fourth call from this person today and it's only 2pm.

got a phone call from this number at 8.50am saturday morning. Husband answered, and was not best pleased. Would not leave a message either.

This is one of many I have been getting lately. This number has called 3 times in one hour! they do not speak or leave a message.  

This is just one of the numbers used  - I have had others lately doing the same  - one of them is a serious hoax and if they get hold of you they start charging you, they try to sell you something then they trap you - its about £1.50 a min they charge your phone! becareful there are lots of scams going around. BT cannot do anything as they are abroad!

I have had one message left and it was an Indian call centre!! but its just crappy rude sales people. I know people have a job to do but no is no and they should not be rude!

I have had three other hoax calls like this and come on here and surprise surprise they are all listed same as above. I am getting no lie,  about ten to fifteen calls like this a day and all the numbers have been reported on this site... Its driving me mad and guess what you cannot block them!

I have been getting them like this for about three weeks solid - my husband kept answering them this weekend but nothing!

I just wish they would go away!

I work from home and this is wasting my time.  Who are these idiots - whey dont they take the hint!

I think I have finally solved the mystery of this number whioch has been plagueing me for a week now. This morning I received another call from this number and managed to answer it quickly enough to get to the operator (apparently Silent Calls are brought about because a computer dials three or more numbers and the first person that answers gets put through to the operator, anyone else gets silence). Anyway, I went ballistic and the operator and was told that the company was Oli which is an on-line clothing relailer which I have used in the past. I was told to contact their Customer Services to get my number removed from the list because it wasn't a random number dialling exercise, i.e. they had my name and number and I hold an account with them and they 'needed to speak to me' (bollocks, if they needed to speak to me they can email or write a letter or god forbid leave a message if it's that important!).

I spoke to customer services who had no idea why or where this call would originate from and told me she would report it and reove my number from records. Hopefully this works.

Has anybody else who receives calls from this number dealt with Oli? Or it maybe that this company makes sales calls on behalf of a number of companies? Anyway, hopefully this is of help to some people.

However I did receive another Silent call from 08452930002 last night, hopefully it was Oli also and not the start of a landslide of Silent Calls from various companies.

I too have been recently receiving calls from this number! It only started this past week, but the number of calls is now getting beyond a joke! I have a newborn baby and the phone went at 8.50pm!!!! I refuse to answer it as when previously answered it went silent! Then when I tried to call it back, it said the number was temporarily unavailable!! (fancy that!) I have set up with BT over a year ago to stop hoax calls to my number, yet why do these people seem to be able to get through?!!!!!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!!!!

I too have been receiving phones calls from this number, they have rung whilst i have been at work luckily, i have caller id so can see they rung 5 times today 5 times yesterday and 5 times day before.

As per previous comment i dont have an account with Oli, but i do with freemans and they are both owned by same company!!!

I have been getting calls from the above number for a while, and never any messages or answers.
About a year ago I ordered something from Look Again, and a few weeks later I started being bombarded by emails, text messages, letters, catalogues and special offers from Oli. And now these phone calls!
It's enough to make me cancel my account and never order from any affiliated company again!

I have been getting plagued by this number- again- everytime I answer the phone there is no one there. However my husband answered it and apparently it was Kaliedoscope catalogue (who I have had an account with in the past). They call everyday- all the time it is sooooo irritating!

They have just called again- how do you get rid of them!

I got two calls today (15 February 2008), the second one after I'd read these comments and had a better idea what to expect. Mine was from the Freeman's catalogue people, wanting to speak to a member of my household. Not an English accent, but that doesn't mean much. She wouldn't leave a message for my friend (Data Protection Act, she said, which is bollocks, because it depends entirely on what she wants to say), but left a geographical number, which is 01274 625604 (in case anyone out there can make use of it).

I have found out today that if you register with the Telephone preference service www.tpsonline.org.co.uk they will stop all calls going to your landline within 30 days.  I got this from my landline operator.

I receive 4 calls a day from this number it is becoming very irritating. Who are they?? Does anyone know? It is roughly at the same time of day. 8.00am and afternoon. Its becoming boring!

Got a silent call on my mobile from this number this afternoon 22/7/2008. I hope this isn't the start of a landslide of calls.

Got a call today twice and picked it up. what bothers me is that i am on international roaming and have no idea what am i being charged. Sad that this has been going on for a while and nothing is being done.

Its not a scam as claimed here by Clare 14 Jan 2008 - - And the calls are supposed to be annoying - - This company and others call basically because Somebody has an unpaid account - Either Simply pay what You owe - or if you claim you don't owe anything Speak to them and clarify the situation - - Otherwise the calls will continue until a resolution is reached
