Got a call from this number on my Skype line... which is strange because my Skype line is known only to a few of my family. There was a voice text message telling me to stop sending voice text messages (which I don't do) I suspect it is a cheap way of getting you to ring back....

0845602111 is a legitimate BT service, which is used when text messages are sent to landlines. I have had both genuine messages from this service and also has some scam messages too. Along with the mobile number the text was sent from, the scam messages might contain a cryptic message, or saying that you ordered something  etc, which is used to entice people to phone back the mobile number. If you don't know who the caller is and don't understand the message, don't call back as it is almost certainly a scam.

It's BT's voice text service. Where people send SMS to your land line.

It is an automated text messaging service from BT. If you miss the call then call back to retrieve your message. My message was from Vodafone saying my new phone would be delivered that day.

got my number changed. No one knows I got it changed. X directory and even I don't know the number. Been ringing me about 3 imes past hour. Wth is going on!!!!!!!!

this number called 4 times between 10pm and 11.30pm did not answer as i was trying to sleep as had to get up at 4.45am next morning! who ever it is its ridiculous  phoning at that time of night!!!!

i've had this number call me 11 times in the past 24 hours a couple of them late at night who is it? and what do they want?

Mine legitimate too - An SMS service with a message from BT to acknowledge they were responding to a reported fault on my parents' BT line.

I missed the number that left the text. Any way to recall it if not saved?

Its an SMS messaging service, my Dad sent the message to my home telephone rather than to my mobile. An automated voice reads out the message.

I have been receiving calls from this number every day.

This is the numbert for the sms texting service from bt, its what you get if someone sends a text message to a landline. If you ring this number it gives you the choice to listen to the text save it or delete it. My mother is always sending me jokes and more than often she texts the home number instead of the mobile by mistake. its funny sometimes to hear a computer voice tell a joke.

I know this as i have answered it many times. its not a scam someone is trying to contact you.

It's the sms text store from B.T. My dentist send's me text messages to remind us of our appiontments! This number will ring and ring until you listen to the message.

08456021111 called me 1st Sept 09 at 17.55. I didn't answer and no message was left

I just had a strange phone call from BT which read out a text message.  It said something like "sorry ladies but we've had to go for the expensive option and tickets are £6 each instead of £4".  I've just 1471'd and this is the number that came up: 08456021111.  When the text was read, the number started with "07"

It's fine! It just means that someone sent you a text to your home number instead of your mobile number by mistake.  If you answer the call it will tell you the number of whichever friend sent the text and the time that they sent the text.  You can then contact them in the normal way.
