- INTERFACE ROCKS!!!!!| 1 replyI understand being a protective parent. I dont understand why this company gets such bad press. It offers a service and (sound the alarms)you pay for the service. How does that make the company a scam? Serching a company on Google to find negative information is not a skill. The true resercher is someone who makes their own descions. If you are not serious about getting into the industry then I agree with not comming to the apt. But dont ruin the opportunity for everyone else who is. Every single person who posts information on this website is not in the bussiness. You don't call a mechanic to talk to them about your mortgage. Just like you dont reserch a company to find facts your find opinions. Those who do see the internet as fact I have one word for you "baaaaaah".
- ???WHOEVER WROTE INTERFACE ROCKS IS EITHER ONE OF THE LOSER DIRECTORS OR ANY LOSER WHO WORKS THERE! IF YOU WEREN'T A SCAM THAN WHY WOULD INSIDE EDITION HAVE AN OPEN INVESTIGATING CASE AGAINST THE COMPANY, YOU DONT SEE OTHER MARKETING COMPANYS THAT ARE LEGIT GETTING THIS NEGATIVE FEED BACK! INTERFACE SUCKS! YOU TAKE PEOPLES MONEY KNOWING THAT THEY WONT GET ANY JOBS AND TRY AND SUGAR COAT EVERYTHING. I should know i worked there!
- ???!I can answer that question. The reason of why you are not seeing more complaints about other companies is because:
First: You are not looking at them.
Second: This is a new concept in a already tarnished market.
Third: We work with people. People make opinions. Being a legitimate company we deal with these issues and continue to strive forward until the concept is accepted. I dont blame you for your ignorance if I was in your position I would probably be sceptical too. But it is a service that works it all depends on how serious you are about getting into the industry. - Something To Think AboutI have seen the kiosks at the mall and dread walking by them for fear of getting "sold" something. However, reading more about the company there is alot of misunderstanding when it comes to what the company is for. I agree that perhaps the teens at the mall & call center want to get you in the door and don't really explain what it is youre signing up for. Free or not.
What I understand Interface Talent Network to be is a model marketing co. Its a marketing service to promote the models and give them the tools they need to land jobs and get with an agency. It is not an agency. For any business you need marketing. Be it online ads, posters, billboards, etc. This is nothing more. Every model needs a comp card (a card with pictures/stats/details) to promote themselves to agencies. By getting you in the door they have a chance to "sell" you this service. I understand they hold photoshoots there (99.9% sure the use is for those comp cards). What I think the call center/kiosks/Possibly management misses is to explain what the company does & acomodate their "clients". Instead they pack waiting rooms, leave you hanging, give you hope that when you step in the door your child or yourself will be handed a modeling gig, and throw $$$ talk around like you have hundreds to just hand out.
I don't believe it is all bad. It is a service after all.If the client fully understands what they do and knows that its to better promote themselves then that is a great business. It doesnt excuse anyone's miserable experience there, but that is for any company. Its always love/hate.
Most people will not need this service, but extra exsposure is just that. Extra. Think of it as putting in an ad somewhere. - I USED TO WORK FOR THIS COMPANYi used to work at a kiosk in the mall. i went down to the south norwalk office because i was curious. south norwalk is a pretty cool town and theres good restaurants. but the interface office just looks pretty much like a big empty building with some pictures hanging on the walls. the directors rooms just have desks with nothing on them. not even a computer or anything. and the waiting room has like 200 chairs. when i went there, there was not one person in the waiting room. they also got all sketched out that i wanted a tour. the only action was going on in the call center, where there was like 30 people on the phone and it was really noisy. i believe that this company is a scam no doubt. but lets say..they were legit which they are not.....if you take a look at the book of pictures at the kiosks, the photos are absolutly terrible. and they charge thousands for these??? i could take better pictures myself and i am no photographer. this company makes it quite obvious that they are shady. this one girl came to the kiosk and said she had a photo shoot with us. she was just flipping through the book of success stories and saw her picture under a logo for some tv show. and she was like wtf i never had this job. its all a lie. and also the office is really hard to find because they dont have a sign. lol.
- CarmenI was at the Palisades Mall a few weeks ago and was approached by a young woman who also ran her line about my son being handsome and would I consider him for modeling. I hesitated then my daughter who is 13 heard this and actually wanted to be considered. We provided her name and basic contact information. Two days later I get a call from someone named Kim asking us to visit their office in Norwalk,CT for an interview with their director whom she would not named since she wasn't sure who it would be. I found this a bit strange but I made the appt for today and after discussing this with a couple of people I was told it's a SCAM pure and simple and these types of situations were featured on the news. I decided to cancel this appt rather than show up only to find out that I would have to shell out large sums of money for these so called photo shoots. I thank you all for your comments! You've opened my eyes.

- i workedd therelisten i worked there nd its a str8 up scam i felt so bad lyn but the pay was good, spanish ppl r the main targets but dnt bother its a scam
- imtscallerIF YOU HAVE GOTTEN APPRAOCHED IN THE MALL OR RECIEVED A PHONE CALL!!!!!I work there now and it is a complete SCAM and anyone who is praising this company is a liar or work for the company. They have a sister company in jersey called industry model and talent studio google it! Has worst complaints of how they force false signatures and make up fake contracts to show to bank to take money out your account and im not talking hundreds im talking thousands! And we have callers in the jersey call center that call the ct(interfacce) i just heard the other day they opened up one in texas and in florida. I strongly feel becuase the owners on the company are getting so much heat that they are going to close down ct and jersey and run off with all their money to texas and florida. People are going to show up to the building one day and its going to be empty. And im not even joking you guys have no idea how big this thing is and how deep of a scam it is. In jersey they have a class action suit with 150+ togetehr trying to bring down this company. They had one in NY but it got shut down asap. I am telling you run for the hills! I have never called anyone from ct but i do feel bad for the ones i have called! Not only do they scam their clients and customers they also scam the employees. The smart thing to do it not respond to them or fillout any info. and even when you ask them to take you off the calling list they will keep you in it cause they have to or dont care. the managers will write you up if you have too many people as not interested and when you take people out the system the managers will put it back in. we call hundreds and hundreds of people a day many even thoud=sands all together. Its a damn shame they have been in business for 5 years now! be smart stay away!
- Sweet dreamsI used to work for interface talent network I used to be a caller there. I think this is them most FAKE, most ridiculous job I've ever worked for. I hated calling people taking time out of their busy lives just to lie to them and tell them to come in for an evaluation at "NO COST" but not tell them THE TRUTH!
And what kind of "Talent Marketing company" makes people call them for appointments and have an 80% success rate (as they say)? If they were as successful as they say they are, people wouldn't have to call them. They would have clients calling them for their "EXCELLENT SERVICE" and why isn't this "WONDERFUL" business exposing themselves more to the public so that they could know more about the company and have people look for them? Instead they have a cheap website where people can apply as well. and that is all they have. GREAT! let's keep up the good work INTERFACE!
Another thing is.... I went to one of the director's office while they were seeing and talking to the poor clients and It honestly made me feel horrible. First they took out a big thick book with children and their supposed "SUCCESS STORIES" and the thing was thicker than a dictionary and they say "look at this book, This book has all of the success that we've had in ONE MONTH!" but I say to myself How can this be one month? WE HAVEN'T HAD THAT MANY MADE APPOINTMENTS IN ONE MONTH! WHAT A CROCK OF LIES!
Another thing is the directors "ACT" Nice but they really make rude statements and remarks as soon as the client declines and leave. They are truly the definition of disgusting people.
I hate this company and what they stand for.

- Lawyer| 1 replyI've read the contract, and it confirms without a doubt that this company is running a scam. The only "services" they agree to provide are (1) a "Photo Shoot" and (2) within 30 days of the Photo Shoot, "one CD that contains all images taken during the Photo Shoot (the 'Photo Shoot Products')." That's it!!
*Nowhere* do they agree to do *anything* with regard to marketing or promoting your child's modeling career! You don't even get any composite cards or head shots without paying an additional per-card/per-head-shot fees. They agree to basically *nothing.*
In fact, they don't even agree to mail you the useless CD! "You must pick up your Photo Shoot Products [i.e., the CD] no later than 90 days after the date of the Photo Shoot. Should you fail to do so, such Photo Shoot Products shall be promptly discarded, and no refunds shall be given."
There's also a clause charging you $100 for rescheduling unless you reschedule at least 7 days prior to the "Photo Shoot" -- and yet as noted above in several comments, their practice is to schedule the "Photo Shoots" within just 2 or 3 days of the initial meeting with the "director."
But don't worry: If you are *cancelling* the agreement (within 3 days of signing the agreement, by certified mail return receipt requested -- not that hard, just get yourself to the Post Office and pay a little extra for it), you are not "rescheduling," so they owe you a *full* refund, and have no right to deduct $100 for "rescheduling" in fewer than 7 days.
I'm writing the CT Attorney General and the Danbury Fair Mall about these shysters first thing tomorrow. The most disgusting part is that they prey on people by emotionally manipulating their children.- Caller: InterFace Talent Network
- SICK AND TIRED!I AM SICK A TIRED OF THIS COMPANY SCAMMING AND MAKING AWAY WITH PEOPLE'S HARD EARNED MONEY && ON TOP OF THAT TREATING THEIR EMPLOYEES LIKE CRAP!
PAUL IS THE MAIN SUPERVISOR OF THE CALLING CENTER IN THE COMPANY AND HE DOES COKE. EVERYONE IN THE CALLING CENTER AND MAYBE THE WHOLE COMPANY KNOWS THAT.
THERE IS THIS GIRL NAMES TONYA OR TANYA THAT ALSO DOES COKE AND SHE'S DONE IT IN THE BATHROOM. ALL THAT GIRL DOES IS TWITCH AND SHE LOOKS COKED UP ALL THE TIME!
I WANT TO REPORT THIS BUT DON'T KNOW HOW
ANY SUGGESTIONS PEOPLE?- Caller: Interf*ck or Interface!
- client| 1 replyI was so surprised to see all these statements about Interface. I have been with them for a little over a year, and I have gotten agent meetings and actually worked on major motion pictures and sets.
I got what I paid for and then some... and if it were free i would be more skeptical about that! Nothing is for free!! - Model's MomI just signed my daughter up for a $1500 package with Interface. My sister told me about this website and said I needed to check it out. Ok. I saw all the nasty stuff. However, I was impressed with all of the people I met at Interface. When the Director was showing my daughter the Success book, we saw 3 of her friends! Love it. I called one of the moms and asked her if the experience has been a good one and she told me it was really fun and that her daughter is getting jobs. We are doing our photo shoot tomorrow and we are both excited.
- confidentialok how bout this... I did work for the company and you are right JH everything you are saying was told to me during my time working there, I will say that in a way it is a scam because the scouter tell everyone that their kids could make it when they are not even looking for potential just people who are willing to pay big bucks for something that is not even promising. The callers do have notes and some sort of cue card that they practice reading off. Tell me this JH why if it is not a scam can't you be honest with the people and tell them that on those card that the parents fill out in the malls have little note about the child like; blue eyes, blonde hair..ect. so that the caller can easily identify the child and the mother can feel like the child was the brightest star of all the hundreds you collect weekly. the callers that call the parents are not at fault because they have supervisors that circle around them making them keep calling until they get an appointment and if they don't push their jobs are in jeapordy. If it is NOT A SCAM WHY CAN'T PEOPLE GO HOME TO THINK ABOUT THE DICISION BEFORE WRITING THOSE BIGG CHECKS????? What spot is being reserved if you are out their daily searching for more people? anyone can say no go home and still call back and i am 100% sure that they will get you back in that room saying the same thing they said to you in the first place and again put you up in a corner about the money. While i was working there, there was a situation where a mother got upset because she said no to the "professional" and he replied to her "Thank you for wasting my time"... NOT PROFESSIONAL!!!! SO EVERYTHING THAT JH IS SAYING CAME FROM A CUE CARD TOO!!!!!!!
- Caller: Interface talent network
- confidentialand to the client when they are real professionals they seek talent where talent exist not pump so many heads that get nowhere. you are wrong they pay you because you are the market and the get profitted back. They make you pay for the pictures they take and say they will send to different agencies but they don't promise you that anyone is going to want to hire you. Why pay soo much money for them to Network you when they themselves can't tell you the truth if the child has potential or not? they don't care they just want the money!!!

- hmmmto models mom:
a girl came by the kiosk and said she was affiliated with interface. she looked through the book of success stories just cause she was curious and was stunned to see her picture under and advertisment of some tv show that she was never on. so obviously their book of success stories are just random peoples pictures with advertisments slaped over the top of them. - Good Press
- AllyTwo days ago, I was approached in the mall by a young guy who asked me if I ever thought about modeling. I had never been serious about it, but desided to fill out the card anyway. The guy wrote down a description of what I looked like, and told me to expect a call tommorrow, because I was very beautiful. The 203 number did call me the next day, on both my cell phone and home phone. I did not know it was Interface, but when they called the next day, a message wss left on my cell phone. I called back and spoke with someone who wanted to set up a meeting. He wanted me to come the next day and was persistant about setting up a meeting. He actually told me that they were looking for a girl my age (21.) He kept telling me about different example of work that I can do, and how it worked. I was interested. I asked him if there was any money involved what so ever, and he told me I would have to pay for my own pictures and optional "marketing tools." He told me that it was not alot of money, and that they work out a price with you.I asked if I can use my own photographer, he said no that I would have to use theirs, and they provide a make up artist and hair stylist. I asked a friend who has done modeling, and she told me to be careful with Interface, so I got home and the first thing I did was a Google search, and this site came up! Good thing because me, and my family was about to drive an hour away on Sunday to meet with these people!
