Hmmmm... TechNet you say? Got the same phone call...
It seems logical as my subscription is expiring shortly...though I can't confirm.
Already got a couple of email reminders which imho would have been enough...
no need for some crappy unidentified recorded music phone calls ...
that's annoying... and pretty cheap marketing ...

Got a call from this number today, did not answer and no message was left. After looking at other descriptions here it makes perfect sense that this is an attempt to renew my Technet subscription, since my subscription expires next week. Pretty shady that they did not leave a message, makes me think this is outbound commission based sales, possibly outsourced. Lame MS, lame.
    • Caller: Unknown, suspect MS or outsourced for MS

They have been calling me for more than two months now. My TechNet subscription is not going to expire for another couple weeks.

I told them I would renew my TechNet subscription when I decided to get around to it, and they still keep calling.

What part of 'I will do it when I decide I am ready' do they not comprehend?

One more call from these people, and I will not renew, I will tell M$ that I am not renewing because of these people, I will file a complaint with the BBB and the California Attorney General against these people.

If you want them to stop calling, just say you have a MSDN account.

Technet.  Annoying they started calling me 3 months before my subscription even expired.  At least once a week and have now continued to call even after I renewed online.

Yup "Bertelsman Medi"  Told them already not to call back that I did not like high presure sales.  These folks are not doing Microsoft any favors.  The sad thing is Micorsoft pays for their service. I am on every do not call list made.  These guys don't seem to care.  Sue Micorsoft not these turkeys.

They left a voice message about some sort of MS subscription renewal. Of course, I don't have any MS subscriptions. Interesting and suspicious to say the least.

VERY annoying - can you believe it's still happening? You would think that after 3 years of people complaining, they could fix the problem...This number calls multiple times a day and when you do pick up, it hangs up.  When they attempt to leave a msg on the machine, again, no mesg, just a dial tone...I called the number, they are in fact, trying to renew a subscription....if this is happening to you, please call them and get a manager on the phone for them to realize that this is annoying and not the way to conjure up business...

Thanks for the posts. Was wondering who kept calling and leaving empty (silent) voice mail.

I called the number and asked to be placed on a do not call list.  They were very nice and said they would be happy to do that.  We'll see if the annoying calls stop!

Thanks to all of you for this info. I am at the end of my Technet subscription and have received a couple sales calls already to get my renewal so it is no surprise to see you all pointing the finger at Microsoft. They keep calling me and when I pick it up I just get silence. It is now on my auto rejection list.
