These caller bother me three or more a day. What should I do?

This number started calling me at 6:15 - I hit the ignore button. Then it calls again - and again. I put my phone on silent, and just checked it again, now I have 18 missed calls from this number in a matter of 14 minutes!
You can't block a number if there is no number - right?
Ugh! How annoying.

got a call from this 00000000 number and i think that phone companys that take our money are not doing enough to get rid of these numbers that call.im ex directory and its getting on my tits....it appears that even if you are ex dir your number is an old number re-used and still on someone database...if your getting a new number make sure it is a new number and not an old one reused cose telephone companys only want your money and not interested if you get strange calls.DONT GET A VIRGIN PHONE...COSE THEY ARE THE WORSE.

I got these too, answered then they would not give up so the last time i answered i said nothing and put phone next to a very loud hi fi playing loud rock, they didnt call back.

This is exactly what is happening to me today and over tha last few weeks.  I have had to just stop answering it and let A/P take it.  Is very irritating.

Great I got like 14 calls since this morning Starting 6:02 AM Cant even call them back to yell..... when i answer No one speaks and after like 20 seconds of silence Lady's voice comes says GOOD BYE..... WTH.... This is getting really annoying now..

Just had another call from 0000 0000
This time was prepared when I saw it on the caller Displayed.

When I first use to get these calls it use to annoy me intensley, always asking for your full name Date of birth etc (Do they thing we are idiots, any one who gives personal details over the phone nowadays must be simply daft)

However now I have a great laugh playing them at there own game.

Anyway getting back to the call, the Asian lady said "Is Mrs X there please"

Me  "Hello can I help you the lines not very good"
Asian Lady, "Can I speak to Mrs X please"
Me  " Mrs X is just upstairs I will call her"

Actually the wife was out of the house at work, but I shouted "Are you there love someone on the phone wants to talk to you.

I then again spoke to the Asian lady :- "Shes on her way, she'll not be a minute"
Asian Lady "OK"

I then put the phone down, thinking if I leave it a couple of minutes she will hang up like they usually do.

After a couple of minutes the conversation continued :-

Me "are you still there"
Asian Lady Yes if Mr X there

It was at this point I told the lady that my wife had to rush out of the house.
She then asked if she could talk to the householder which I explained was me
she the asked me for my personal details, after telling me she was doing research for a UK company

Gave her some false name, Date of Birth.

Her questions were all centred aroud banking, credit cards, and loan details.

After about five minutes of giving false answers, I just had to tell her that the information which Id given her were all false.

For some reason the Asian lady never said goodbye or "You [***]", she just hung up. (I wonder how much an eight minute call from Indian costs these days)

Ive had other calls from this number and just make up other stories, Im becomming quite good and thinking of taking up acting.

Remember BT carnt do anything regarding this number, so the trick is to keep calm and play the [***] at their own game (Give it a try)

who the hell is calling me from this number????

Have been getting ghost(no one speaks on the other end) calls from different numbers, 00000000 is one of them(I missed this call though). Its really weird and scary, I thought its a public announcement call, but after seeing all your posts here realized it indeed is a scam number. I got a call from 6308696841 few days ago saying I was selected to receive a $300 grocery card and a $100 walmart gift card, gave them my Indian credit card details, $2.95 was charged on 20th for shipping and handling, but haven't received any gift cards yet. Have decided to block my credit card now, shouldn't have given them the details in the first place...

someone called me with the number 00000000

As with all the other complaints receive umpteem calls from 00000000. We screen ALL incoming calls and are TPS registered yet they keep coming. Never bothered to answer, though did speak to Money Management once on their 02 number. In my opinion almost certainly a foreign based scam to get your financial details. DON'T give them any thing!

Never had this number ring me before until just now and it seems that its from a call centre in india, apprently they want your details so they can sell them onto criminal gangs so they can give illegal immigrants ID to get into this country.!!     BEWARE.!!

Hello everyone This phone number is a scam and if you give out any  information then they will get your money for one this let it go to your voice messageing and let the leave a message. Then call your local police with all the information and the voice message on it.

i am geting call from this number 00 00000000 can you plz help me to find whoses number is this.

Not sure who this 00000000 is but they have been calling about 4x a week, usually 2x a day on 2 different days.
I do not say "Hello" as this is a business.
Response is silence then a tone and computerized female voice "good bye"

Just be careful never say "YES" or "OK", because they cut and paste to imply your acceptance to
what they are offering.

i had call from 0000000000 aswell it really cheesed me of so i answered and just spoke with raise voice that who ever this is im getting really p***** off with these  f****** calls and wat [***] they couldnt even say sorry ok or bye they just hastily hung up how rude is that lol ive just gone to tps now need 2 do the mobile phone aswell

This number called my mobile, no one on the other end, said hello 3 or 4 times and a recored message came up and said goodbye
