I have started to receive calls from this number as well. Once the call is gone, I dial 1477 to log it as malicious.

I used the 1477 for the 091147 number that called me for weeks. They seem to finally have stopped, but this one has taken over. Seriously tempted to get the panasonic phone though

Basically, all these different rogue calls from Asia probably originate from the same source. They pretend to be concerned that your PC is uploading viruses and they want you to give them access to install some sort of remedy file, which they claim will sort out the problem. If you were to allow this, you’d most likely end up with a key-logger routine (or Trojan) on your PC that periodically uploads its contents to their site and then you’ve definitely got a problem! Just tell the idiot “hello” (using your best impression) after everything they say. :-)))

    Ms Hirani
Date of call Thursday 18th August 2011 at 9:17pm.

I just got a phone call from a man who had an American accent or he may have changed his accent in purpose and askd for Mrs Hirani, I said, "Where are you calling from", he said, " This number". I said again to him as he did not understand what I was saying as the call did not sound clear, "Which company are you calling from, then he hung up,

He rang before asking for Ms Hirani, I said "There is a Ms Hirani and a Mrs Hirani, who do you want to speak to". He hung up, I think it was last week, I will start logging these calls from now on, it was again from the 000000000 number.

Have been getting multiple calls each day from 000-000-0000 (I am the receptionist here). For weeks, every time I pick up, I hear nothing. Try to get a response, still nothing. Finally got so furious and tired of it today that I sat there, listening to "nothing" for about 5 minutes to see if the call would eventually drop or SOMETHING. Finally, a man picked up and said, "Hello??? Can I speak to Roger XXXX?"... Being that the person obviously is working from some random call center, I lied and said that we have nobody by that name- he no longer works here. The man then asked for "the principal engineer".... At this point, I was so annoyed for all the times that they've called and aggrivated me that I curtly told him "We don't give out that information". I feel a tiny bit bad for being rude, but every time I think about how many "dead" calls I'vve answered and how much of my time they have wasted, I stop feeling bad and wish I wasn't at work so I could curse the guy out. Grrr.

Number was 0000000000. When I answered he said he was from Windows. Had a really thick accent couldn't hardly understand him. I got frustrated and hung up. I am suspicious about the phone call.
