Always getting these nuisance phone calls. Caller never answers.  Worried it's some sort of scam; why would any one do it except to obtain money?
.It seems know one seems to be able to anything about it    Also get the surveys calling all the time..

finally! somebody spoke, sai they were a marketing company and would the named householder answer some questions, refused to identify the company. sounded like a sub-continent accent, called themselves by an english name. we said no, they rang off, rang again 1/2 later, same thing, diff operative

Just to update you all from my previous post, i could be tempting fate here but since my last post i have had no further calls. I know it can be frustrating but you can get the better of these leeches. Try your best to be as polite as possible when answering the phone, at first engage them in conversation BUT by your rules, simply say hello and repeat it until someone answers.  If they do,  ask them who or what company they are, try to do this as politly as possible because you dont want to scare them off (DO NOT give them any info reguarding their survey ) , once you have the company name write it down . Most of the time when i got a silent call no number was left, but there was the odd occassion that a number was left and it was always the same number, so if you can get both number and company  then chances are they will match. Once you have both then please report them to Ofcom and TPS. Once you have all the info you need from them tell them that you HAVE reported them to TPS and Ofcom and you would like all you deatils removed from there system because they will be breaking the law by contacting your number again. I kept a note pad by my phone and recorded times and dates aswell as  a number if it was left, and i gave all this info to TPS  and Ofcom. It can take 28 days to have your number removed from their system's so i think it was the threat of repoting them that worked for me. As stated in earlier posts the number 0010191059 IS Home Survey Group so if its a silent call and the number left is the same then you have the info you need to report them.

Keep getting calls from "00" number on display. Always ignore it and it rings off after a few seconds.
Only problem is, it trips my answering machine as a "left message". Damned infuriating.

I have received a call on 2/6/14 about 8:45 pm on my cell. I could hear people in the background. The caller was female and Spanish speaking. She kept repeating the same word which I couldn't understand. I was curious and played along and i was polite.Call lasted about a minute and she eventually hung up when I stated it was a strange number. Received a second call 20 sec later but only this time it said caller I'd blocked and it was the same person. Again I listened and eventually asked her if she would please speak English. She hung up after and that was it for the night.  I did try calling the number but it was a pre-recorded message in both english and spanish stating the number or code you called is incorrect.  The phone number was 005244561061070
