I had a call from this number too today.

I'm starting to think that this is related to the 3 service. What carrier is everyone else on?

I got 2 calls about 20 minutes ago from this number and there was a lady speaking chinese. I hung up both times but i am with Telstra not 3...

I got a call from this number, said hello and then they started talking in another language this is VERY annoying grr they even rang back and i said Sorry i only speak english, I can't understand you.

I too just received a call from this number, a lady spoke something to me in an Asian language, I advised she had the wrong number, she said "ok thankyou" and hung up... I hope that this isnt the start of dozens of missed calls like you guys have been receiving.

Hey, I JUST got the exact same thing

I got called from this same number this afternoon.  It sounded like Chinese or Taiwanese because the woman started with 'nee-how' and then started some spiel that went for about 15 seconds.  I didn't understand a word of it so I said "English! Do you speak English? English only."  She paused then kept right on speaking in tongues. I said the same thing over, twice, but she kept plugging away so I said 'wrong number' and hung up.

Had a call from it today as well, the caller was a male, of Asian background and proceeded to talk to me in Chinese. When I said 'pardon' they said 'you speak Chinese?' I replied 'no' and they apologied and hung up.

I don'tt really mind (well I do but it's no hardship) but just want to know how the hell they get an Australian mobile number and call it thinking the person will understand them! Very frustrating.

i received a call at 3am and no reply! couldn't our server track these calls? obviously a prank allowed for some benefit i guess.

i got the same call, and tell me i win a prize,  it seems they are cheating.

this number just called my mobile, it sounded like a japanese person talking to someone as if it was a personal call.

Asian lay asked me - 'do you speak chinese' I said no. She then hung up!!!

I got a call from them today, but they were asking if I spoke Asian, I took it as a prank call and said "If this is a prank call this is really pathetic" and hung up, when I looked down at my phone I found that the number was un-usual as to I live in Australia...

yeh i got a call from this number today. The person was speaking a really weird language or just making nosie into the phone:( the number looked weird so i thought i would looked it up on the internet which is even worse cause i now hope it hasn't given my phone a virus or something.

I got a call today at Work from this number, i thought it was my friend who is in America,
i called back a few times, adding a '+1' and '0011' and other variations, only to  find that every time (except once) it was invalid, or cannot connect right now, or phone is not answering. The time someone did answer it was lady speaking what i think is spanish?.

I believe it must be a generic number for international calls who have hidden their caller ID.

Received a call today @ 10:50am Brisbane, Australia time, i answered and heard an asian lady speaking but the static and the background of the call was distracting so i didnt stay on the line to hear too much, hung up, did a search and read the comments. from the comments ive read here, im going to report it to

Funny, because i recently purchased a lot of stuff from china. i got heaps of stuff from Ebay, and other stuff from Light In The Box (lightinthebox.com)

same thing happened me 2dY 1pm.....i got call and she was talking in any other language .......i don't know which lang is that...............but when i just said i cann't hear u..........she had cut the fon........and when i call back they r saying ur call couldn't be connected................
