no messages just calls

I am receiving lot of these calls and do not bother to answer them anymore but they are very annoying. How can they be stopped

call from 0015138992070 - hang up when I answer phone

Getting calls from 0015, most of he times when I answer they just hang up, this morning somebody answered and wanted to do " an important update on Windows". As soon as I queried this the phone was put down. Obviously some scam but it is getting very annoying!

This number claimed to be from 'Microsoft Support' they scare you in to thinking that your computer has a virus and will ask that you follow some simple steps with them on your computer. Its a scam to gain access to your computer. YOU WILL KNOW IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH YOUR COMPUTER AND SHOULD NEVER ALLOW COLD ACCESS TO IT FROM SOMEONE YOU DO NOT KNOW.

I noticed a strange 0015 number which immediately made me suspicious, and when I heard an Indian accent I knew by default it was a confidence trick.

He told me he was from microsoft (what a surprise) and he had been trying to email me all morning but could not reach me although upteen other message had reached me!

Leading this man on I asked him to name me and my phone number so he qoted incorrect information probably taken from Telephone Preference Scheme software.

I then told him I have worked with Indians all over the globe on oil exploration vessels,and could trust ony a very few so why should I trust him? This made him very agitated and so I told him to "something off you Idn something", which I know would not meet the requirement of Britain's lefty Guardian reading liberal elite but unlike me they have only met such people at their University Halls of Residence but not in real life situations where trust is imperative, and is more than a few share prices.

Silence, then they hung up.  presumably because it's voice-activated.

Unsolicited sales call, probably a scam of some type. Three options - (1) pick up but keep quiet, after a few seconds they ring off, presumably voice activated (2) pick up, answer, let them talk while you do something else, if you have the time this option costs them most in call time (3) ignore any calls starting 0015 ..

call from asian male named eric, claimed to be from BT and asked me to enter a 32 digit number into mt PC, he ended call when i asked for his surname,

call from 001559371526 is a potential Phishing (trying to get personal bank information) caller. They phoned me several times  telling me I have an issue with my microsoft computer. They ignore any reply such as, I dont have a computer or tablet, and try to get you to log on to your computer putting specific sequence of words into the address bar (the www bar) this enables them to totally take control of your computer. DONT DO IT! Hang up and report it on her and on other websites like this. That way the message might get across.

Indian sounded lady tells me in have problem with my computer so I know this can be scam or a trick but let her talk, you know the story....turn puter on etc
Tab on Windows and R on same time.......
then type in CMD...... (you know where this is going to)
Then type ASSOC en type Enter  (beter to pull out Internet connection before i do and I did)

then she couldn hear me no more.....and lost connection......
phoned back and i keep quiet and just listen.

before i closed my MSdos screen i typed exit and Enter so that must be good.

Who can tell me what this really is and what behind the phone number, think is not a division of Windows......

Didn’t take the call as I knew there is no ozzy ph # that stars with 0015. Safer not to answer any overseas calls unless your expecting one, or no caller id/private number they’re always a scam or telemarketers.

Rang to say I had been overcharged by SKY and they wanted to refund me with £201. Asked for my D.O.B. and I gave a false one. Asked for the expiry date and I said I had to go and get it. Ten minutes later after a few hellos he hung up. Rang again and I recognised the number "Please hold the line, your call is being forwarded to Action Fraud" I said. Then I asked for his name and the address he was ringing from and told him he was being investigated for fraudulent activity. That got rid of him for the moment anyway
