I get this call daily at around 12 pm since 2 weeks or so.
I never picked up the phone. I know some people in egypt but non with this number. So thanks a lot for this forum. otherwise I would have called back to see if one of my friends has/her changed his number. (Very expensive!!)

Received a call today with same issue mentioned by others. i.e. my computer has a virus etc. i challenged the caller to tell me how he had my number and worrying he also knew my name and full postal address! I said there was nothing wrong with my computer and he hung up.

They called me in Switzerland too.
Cumbersome comments / not qualified questions about a Windows PC. When I asked them to stopp it, they asked for 40$ - that's extortion! Told them to f** o**

Auch ich wurde heute von der Caller: 002064560661, 11:59, 01.03.12 angerufen, zuerst war der Anrufer sehr freundlich, wie geht etc. Dann informierte er mich er sei von Microsoft (Window) und ich solle meinen Computer einstellen, damit er den Hackerangriff beseitigen kann. ..........ich fand es sehr sehr komisch......wieso Hacker wenn man divere Programe installiert hat...so teilte ich ihm mit, ich werde dies weiterleiten, denn ein Familienmitglied kennt sich se sehr gut mit solchen Angriffen aus...........irgendwie passte ihm diese Info nicht so und ich hatte nur noch ein TüTü im Ohr. Aufgelegt hat der miese Typ

Picked up, said hello - no response, so I said 'who is this?' and they began talking in English but with a heavy accent wishing me a good afternoon and all. And then I remembered I looked up the number before and just hung up. :)
Would be funny if I only owned a mac.

It's just.. it doesn't even feel right to hear them talk on the phone, you know.

Just had a call from these armpits...apparently you can make them lose their temper and they start swearing in some  foreign tounge I am sure they will call again and I will be equally rude...after all if a criminal knocks your door you don't HAVe to be polite

Today in Switzerland. 002064560661 called the way as it has been described before: A heavy accent in English. The lady first knew my name, then came the Windows-story. I told her, I had no computer at home, she seemed astonished, apologized quite politely and hung up.

I got a call from them today can't wait if they call again (7 missed calls in the last 2days) might be a bit evil and have some fun with them cause I don't even have a computer :-) and I'm not gullible enough to believe someone can monitor a laptop that's been under my stairs broken for last 2years ha ha

I received one of these calls today, he said he was from 24/7 and that my computer had sent a message to do with my internet. I told them that they were not my internet provider, he said that they were my computer company who help to sort out fault!! When I told him that they weren't he asked who my computer company were, I told I did not believe him and put the phone down. This is so annoying, is there anyway of blocking these numbers??

I'm a techie software engineer, also a pretty good internet cop (up to 25 hops/spoofing too).  While on the phone today with this idiot, I was able to extract his location and motive.  It is an Egyptian group of low to mid level hackers using third party software that allows peer-to-peer sharing and remote access.  Do not follow his instructions.  I have taken the extracted data to the proper authorities and hopefully the internet cops from Port Said and Cairo do something about it.

They want to help geting rid of som errors and mal ware etc!

Got a call from the "IT department of Microsoft" a company calling itself APTURO.

Informed me I was sending error messages from my PC and what antivirus I was running.

Gave him short shift and hung up.

Spread the word to be careful...................
