I live in France and I received 2 two today one on my mobil and an other on my house's phone!!!

This is a valid number for Google maps, I edited my company info on google maps and then received this call from number above, but didnt answer it, then got email 10 min later saying -

Didn't recognise number so didn't answer! No message left so Googled and like all before me ended up here.  If these people are legit, why oh why will they not leave a message? - My guess;  it's an automated call checking to see if the number you have is genuine as no other reason why Google Maps should be contacting me.

Get so many calls from this number but always at weird times, never leaves a message. Once did call back but for 6 seconds cost me 25p!!  Just a deadline. DODGY, do not call this number.

Just had a call from "Google Maps" they wanted to confirm my info.

Yes i just had a call from alleged Google maps, why would they phone me ??? Something not right there.

I didnt think they would call from abroud...
So the call was legit.

I had the same problem, it's google maps :)

a man asked in good Dutch if the openingstimes of our company he named , were correct.
I answered: thats correct and than he hang up, after saying Thanks.
