calls and does not answer back to hello....and then they decide to hang up....phoned twice today and same both times....im getting really sick of these kind of calls.

Just had a call from a 'Robin' at this number. Sounded like a bombay call centre. He asked to speak to "the man of the house" When I questioned him further about this he just said "Oh Sorry" and hung up. I don't even know the name of the company so I can report them under a violation of the TPS

got the same from 0049, an asian woman asking to speak to the lady of the house, she was impatient

she wanted me to answer a consumer questionnaire that would only take a minute. told her to remove the number

My 13 year old daughter received a distressing call from this number today. She said the man on the other end of the phone sounded Indian. The man asked for me (he knew my name). My daughter said I was out and could she take a message. The man then asked her if she was my daughter and then asked her how old she was. My daughter then told him her age and he then said to her that she would be good to have sex with. My daughter then hung the phone up and told me about it later. I have tried phoning the number to find out who it is calling, but every time I ring the number there is just an engaged tone. I have reported to the police who told me to get my telephone provider to trace the number, but the telephone provider said they cannot trace incoming calls. I again telephoned the police who told me there was nothing they could do, but advised me to contact the telephone preferential service which I have done in order to bar any future calls from this number (hopefully). But if it's a number from abroad, apparently there is nothing that can be done. Has anyone else received a similar call of this nature i wonder?

Recorded message - "Our records show you have not claimed your free loft insulation" with UK accent. Truecall did not get this one as their recorded message convinced it that it was genuine. Should be OK now as I have specifically told it to block it.

Off topic Truecall gets 95% of these calls otherwise I would get more coldcallers than genuine calls!

When I noticed the number I didn't pick up the phone. So far they have called twice within 20 minutes but didn't leave a message on my recorder.

0049 was from an Indian woman trying to scam me about my Windows computer.
Was it running slow and the likes. They try to take control of your computer to sell you some rubbish software, so far elderly people have been taken for a lot of money by these people.
I have had many calls from mostly Indian sounding people one man called himself Ryan and Indian lady called herself Mary.
One called from the department of finance, and there was me thinking we had a treasury this call came from 02256800256 country code is German.
Another windows scammer called from 002063971127 country code Egypt.
Another call windows scammer called from 009712179518 country code Dubi.
To-days from 0049 was from an un named Indian woman I engaged her in conversation then turned the TV sound up and placed the phone in front of the speakers and then left her talking to the TV.  On other days if my computer is on I start a record playing loud and place the phone in front of the speaker, they always ring off.

0049 Called me, woman with indian accent. Told me they are tracking my computer and found that I have a virus no antivirus can take care off. "we are calling you region right now to help people who has the hidden virus" or something like that, I asked what region that was and she counld't answer me. Over and over she tried to get me to sit down at the computer so she could help me.

She did not want to give me a straight answer where or for which company she was calling from, so I ended the call.
Don't trust anyone calling to tell you that your computer has a problem. They cannot know that and even if they could its non of their buisness.

Not being rude but i noticed your name was Denzil . I am english and never had such a call ever fro bombay so my first instinct is that it might be somebody you know messing about with you. Check your friends very carefully , are any of them asking strange questions? It might just be them. Just a thought that came to my mind. Hope you find the culprit.

Hi , this is very distressing , my advice to you would be tape record any future calls. Then as one other peroson did , place the receiver in front of the TV and run up the persons bills , they will soon get fed up.

Getting persistent calls from 0049 285 --- did not answer as to my mobile and would be expensive!  having found this site glad I am no answering obviously a scam?
