Had this number call me today. Screen only showed 00 49 0.

Had this a cuplr of times today but i just ignored it .Also showed another time as just +490 which i presume is from the same source

Got several calls from this number over the last 3 days and it is now driving me mad.

Received A Call From This Number Today, 20/09/14 At 11.00am. The Caller Was Of Indian Origin Saying That He Was Calling From Microsoft About Problems With My PC, That I Had Downloaded Items That Contained Many Virus's And He Is Calling To Help Remove Them. When I Asked How He Intends To Remove Them He Wanted Me To Allow Him Access To My Pc To Remove The Offending Article(s). When I Told Him That There Was No Way On Earth That He Was getting Access Into My Pc, He Became Aggressive. When I Told Him That I Am Covered To The Hilt With Anti virus Programs And Male ware Programs and Why Hadn't These Programs Found Them Before His Call, He Became Agitated. When I Shouted Him Down And Told Him That I Was Connected To The Fraud Squad And I Will Be Tracing This Number...The Line Went Dead!!!

Just had a phone call similar to the one above, when I said how have you got my number the guy said it is registered to my PC documentation (which it's not) and then he went on to say he knows every single thing about me. I said go on then, he gave me an incorrect name and address when I said no he then told me I was lieing. He soon floundered when I forced him away from his script. Not worth the conversation

Caller said "It's about your computer" I hung up. I believe they wanted my private details.

Had a call from an Asian male who said he was phoning from the Windows Service Centre about my computer.  Told him that there was nothing wrong with my computer and I hung up!!

Had a call from this 00490 number tonight and it was an Asian male asking for 2 minutes of my time to answer a few questions. When I said "no sorry I am not interested" his answer was "IT'S JUST 2 F---ING MINUTES" and the line then went quiet. I rang the number back but it wasn't recognized. What a lovely person. I do hope he rings back...

I've received a call from this number about 6 times today ringing and hanging up, does anyone know of how I can stop this happening?

This number, 00490, came up on my phone, but because I use the 'Do Not Disturb' feature on my BT6500 phone it didn't ring. It's a great feature, because you can put it on permanently or select a time range. The only numbers that'll ring are the ones you set as your 'VIP' numbers. You can still see who's called if you have the caller ID option with your phone provider. I gave up on the preferred number system, it doesn't work, but now all is quiet on the nuisance phone calls front.

BTW I do not work for BT or anybody supplying these phones, I just wanted to make people aware of them.

I answered it today and put the receiver next to my hi-fi.....  whoever or whatever it was got 4 minutes of jazz.
Lucky them !

Asian guy who wanted me to take a 2 minute survey. Told him no and he responded by telling me to F*** off then line went dead. Classy. Now blocked. 😃

00490 called several times today fortunately I did not answer but typed the number into search to see whereabouts of this code.  So glad that I did not answer the call after reading some of the reports.  I have now blocked this number.  ITS JUST SO ANNOYING!!!!!!!

Flaming pests! How do you block the number

Had same rubbish about Microsoft computer blah blah. When I asked him what was the address and company of the premises ( its a public house) he kept saying yes but couldn't give me the actual answers and kept staring the PC model which was also incorrect. Getting calls every other day and now at point where I just hang up on them.
