Hi. I think TPS only applies to UK companies using telemarketing. Scammers heed no such regulation as we all know already. A right pain they are!!

I had a missed call from this same number - no message - international code says Germany - but after reading these messages it seems the computer scammers are on the prowl again!  I have a few choice names for people like this but as this appears to be a friendly website I won't use them!

I am also ex-directory and have had calls in the past from weird numbers such as 0123456789 or just a few numbers.  I have caller display so it helps me to decide whether to answer the phone or not.

When I have answered and it's these people saying I have a problem with my computer I used to say I have a person who deals with my computer problems...last time I told them "I am aware that you are scammers and I don't appreciate you calling my number!"  strangely they hung up :-S

Had a call from this number at lunchtime yesterday, luckily I have caller display so didn't answer it.

just had a call from this number 10am, answered it but no one there.
thought it might be a friend from abroad looking at the number.
having checked here it will now go on my caller barred list.


anyone getting these type of calls buy a phone that allows you to barr callers, or has an answering machine or caller id. preferably all 3.
when the phone rings if you dont recognize the number leave it to answer machine, anyone who needs to talk to you will generally leave a message, if you recognize the caller you can pick up the phone and continue with call.
check the number on here and if you dont like what you read add it to caller barred list on the phone, when they ring they get engaged tone.

just had a call from this number saying i am getting a refund of £9000 from my bank   lloyds   funny i had a call last week asking me which bank i was with and i said lloyds  not a coincidence

Got called by 0049055100 claimed to be from Microisoft regarding my computer. Recently saw daytime TV programme warning against people claiming to be from Microsoft

When I answer it's a voice message saying they've been trying to get hold of me about the government grant for insulation! Wish they'd update their records! I had mine done years ago!

Got a call today, first one and now the last, put the number into my call blocker so good riddance to them. The caller as per usual sounded foriegn had difficulty understanding him. Got the gist of what he was selling, I just say politely (for now anyway) I do not need or want this call and hang up.

Glad I bought this call blocker.

Just received phonecall from this number. Caller asked if I was the person who was involved in a car crash in the last 2 years. Kept asking him who he wanted to speak to, what the the car registration of car involved in accident was -  etc. He got so annoyed, in the end he shouted "shut up and [***] off".  Hopefully they wont bother me again.

We have received calls from this number today on both our landlines, (one of which is ex directory). We answered one of the calls, but there was no reply from the other end, just the sound of office chatter - the other one went to ansa fone but no message left. I am getting more and more angry that nothing seems to stop these morons. Mis-sold PPI, computer virus, loft insulation etc etc. I feel my referee whistle is about to be given additional duties :o)

I too got a call from an Asian man claiming to be from international bank and saying I had been in an accident. When I said I wasn't in an accident and sked him to repeat what company he was from he hung up on me. Scammers!

Be careful with this number I have received a call today telling me that they have recover £3000 from my bank related to PPI

When I ask which bank was that he didn't answer and I hung up.

I've seen that they have used this number to tell that they are going to fix your computer as well.
Do not answer calls from this number.
For sure is an scam!

Who called me from this number. They always call and then say nothing?

I keep getting all these nuisance calls even though I am ex directory and TPS registered..
Chances are your service provider is TALKTALK or TISCALI as I suspect their disgruntled  Indian call centre employee selling our details

This is a scam company posing as Microsoft Windows experts who 'install' a help process - I firmly believe they are trying to take details and either install a key logger OR other malware to find out details. They try to infiltrate system, posing as Microsoft support technicians - then ask for money - my mother was fooled for a bit - but now has computer fixed. Please don't be fooled.

called by 0049055110 several times and there is no-one there.  After a short while a voicewith an American accent  is heard ending the call.  How can I stop this?

I had a phone call from 0049055110, the lady was trying to tell me that I had a problem with my computer,  she said that my computer was running slow and that I would not see that there are any problems to start with it would just get a lot worse before I noticed it, she said that she needed me to go switch on my computer while she waited on the phone.  I told her that I was not going to do this as I knew that I did not have a problem with my computer, she put the phone down.

I believe that this was a scam to gain access to computer and the data that I hold on it.
