That is more than a year it stopped with me. Thanks God, I did not have to change number. It just stopped as it started.

But after reading recent posts here, this Mike Hutchinson thing is yet to be understood. What the heck is this scam leading to ? Who gets something out of it ? How does it generates direct or indirect revenue ? All mystery to me.

Well, the +7(495) part of the number is actually russian! To be exact, 495 is a Moscow city code. Now, Russia is the craddle of IT hackers and viruses that you pick so often on your computers. What I am concerned about right now is if any data from my phone was stolen or got transfered during this call. And what i really want to know is if my phone company will take the full responsibility for an identity theft!

I live in North Carolina and have just started getting these calls also. No number comes up on my caller ID however. These calls come in on our land line at all hours of the day and night. I am truly getting tired of this !!!!

have been getting them on my cell (i live in atlanta, ga) for over a year now, 2-3 times a month,  still so annoying - sometimes in the middle of the night.
and no number shows up - always blocked ID.

I just got one of these calls. First time for me, but it seemed odd, so I searched for Mike Hutchinson.

496-909-8001 ia another number that comes up with this call....same message...what the heck is going on?

Got the call again.....strange it's been months without one. This time they blocked the number. So weird....

Individual named Aziz Saatov from "Moscow" called, left message with secretary and asked that I return his call at (011) 7 905 720 9999 (Moscow, Russia) (which sounded like it was a cell phone).  He said he was calling from Price Waterhouse Coopers and wanted to conduct an interview.  I told him to email questions to me and that we would schedule a call for the following day.  The morning of the following day I got a call from 495 123 4567.  It was Aziz stating he needed me to verify my email address.  His call from 795 123 4567 sounded like a land line.

It's not over yet, I do get calls by this number, it just started about 2 days ago, I never answered, fearing some price-trap. "+495417602707" seems to be German, I'am just in Germany too, having a vodafone-number.
Does anyone know how to exclude this Number?

This Mike Hutchinson scam started in May 2010 for me. I live in Copenhagen in Denmark. But it has a very unregular frequency. Sometimes it is once a month and sometimes it is once a week. Typically calls around the period from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and most often on a Friday or Saturday.

Always the same machine. "Can you hear me? Can I speak with Mike please. Mike Hutchinson." and then nothing else happens. Last call with this was with an "identified" number +7 (for Russia) then 495 00 12345, which made me google and I found this discussion forum.

I honestly also do not see the point in this scam other than access to some information on your phone. But I got curious and called the displayed number back. But just to get the message that we dialed number was incorrect. What a surprise.

I received this moments ago for the first time. I'm located in the Netherlands and received a call from the number: +74950012345. Started to Google for the net number since I am actually expecting some foreign calls, but then I bumped into this forum. Looks like its been going on for years now.. so there must be a catch to this? What could they possibly get from me answering my phone, unless they get money from people calling back?
