0051 - called me and kept saying hello! non stop and it sounded like call centre when the background was noisy and lots of talking going on. this must cost the company huge phone bills when people do this sort of thing to cold calling. enough of this crap.

Hi I have started getting the same calls -  Call centre - Indian/Pakistani accent - lot of noise in the background. The first calls started off saying he was calling from Microsoft and that they were receiving error messages from my pc and that I needed to follow his instructions to stop the error.  I realised that it was a scam and got rid of him. Now I am getting calls that either just say hello all the time but this last one telling me to '[***] Off"  who do I report it to?  the number that comes up is 0051 or Private caller.

I have just had a similar call, sourced from 0051, from a guy called 'Dave' speaking with an Asian accent.  He also introdced himself with reference to problems with Microsoft applications.  Similar 'call centre' background noise.  I told him I was not interested and hung up.

I just received a call from his number. As the display showed 0051, not a standard format, I just sent it to voicemail.

Today we recieved three calls from the number 005167469209. A guy with an Asian accent told us we had problems with our computer and we had to turn on the computer and do what he said. The thing is, we didn't have a computer 'cause it was getting fixed. when I told him we din't have an coputer he just hang up.

like all your other people listed above i also got this call from 0051 telling me they were from microsoft and that my computer was going to crash foolishly i listened to them for two hours while they tricked me in to parting with my 178.00 euro, fortunately my bank rang me within a few days of my transaction and informed me i had been scammed and refunded me my money. PLEASE TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO HANG UP WHEN THEY GET A CALL FROM 0051, they are excellent con artists,

I have just been informed by an Ex Sky employee, that the number 0051 is related to Sky Customer Services.

Just received an 0051 number guy with an asian accent who suggested I turned on my computer. He had detected problems. I told im I had my wn computer expert.

Got a few calls from this number, I felt they're not genuine customer service people. Don't sound cold call sales type either.
It's a scam. Rather hang up than waste time with them...

Just had a call from 0051 671 72092 Asian woman telling me Microsoft had detected a fault on my computer. I asked where she was calling from and she said Central London. I asked if she was in the new Microsoft offices in the Bullring. When she said yes I informed her that the Bullring is in Birmingham. Line went dead.

just had phone call from number 0051 no one spoke, have had many like this.

it happened to me i phoned action fraud  0300 123 2040 let them no so tham can try and stop them

Had this number calling me with a baby crying  weird

Started getting calls from 0051 but so far no one talks when I answer.
After reading the posts here I am ready to run them on a wild goose chase with me and my pc!!

So you're saying you past your finance details over the phone!,  that's one of the most important things you don't do.....You've got to be smarter than them.....they're not good at conning as long as you have your witts about you.

Had the same dialling code 0051 167469209, apparently it's Peru's code. As I have no caller id, answered it, said hello twice, during which nothing was said, then I heard a beeping sound and they hung up. Obviously it's a demented cold caller with nothing better to do, don't think they even know what the point is in them making these calls. People can get their own back by planking,  I've done so to national calls.

I had number 0051 24701541 call me this morning, but I didn't answer it as I didn't recognise the number, and don't know anyone with a similar number whether it be India or Peru.  It's possibly a new number for the scammers!
