Yes It's Specsavers I've had a call today, although it was strange as he just how everything was going and wanted to confirm some delivery dates with me but could only do that if I gave him my postcode. I didn't. So he just said if I have any problems call in the branch.

Had a call about 19.05 - I answered and there was silence after I said  Hello.    Think its a try on so be wary.  May be trying to find when you're out.   Suggest if you get the talking to make an excuse -like something on the oven - and say you will call them back

Yep, I just had a call from this number (15th Jan 09 @ 18.05), as soon as I answered there was silence then they hung up. I am a Specsavers customer though so it could be them? although not sure why they would call, they never have before!

I received a missed call from this number this evening. When I called it back only 2 minutes after receiving the missed call, I got through to an automated voicemail advising 'Welcome to specsavers Nottingham, our offices are now closed, if you would like to leave your details...' didn't wait for the rest of the message.

Me too I had a missed call from this nnumber i am a spec savers customer but my branch is doncaster not nottingham..

I had a missed call from this number too last night at half 5 in the evening. I am awaiting the store calling me to advise when my contact lenses will be in stock, perhaps this was them.  I didn't call it back because I didn't want to waste my credit!  I will call my own branch in Edinburgh today to be sure it was them.

Thanks for all your advice, cos I really would have been none the wiser as to who it was!

Not surprised to hear that it's Specsavers as I had to ring them 4 days ago about some missing contact lenses.

I have received this number twice now on my mobile and no message left - I am also a specsavers customer but I in Northants!  Never had them call me before unless its my local branch confirming an appoitment.

Strange!

I had 5 missed calls from this number yesturday, last one at 7pm. I'm also a specsavers customer but never had a phone call before, and why wouldn't they leave a message if they where so keen to get in touch?

I have just had a missed call from this number! However, i am a specsavers customer and i have had previous missed calls from them but not this number and they have left a message before. Specsavers have also sent me a text message. so i am not sure who this is??

it is specsavers... Im a customer, they left a voicemail after call too.

I work here/there, and it's actually our Call Centre based in Nottingham.

We deal with store and customer requests, primarily (spelling?) to do with Contact Lenses.

We normally should leave a message, but maybe some people can't be bothered.

I had 2 missed calls at 18:30 and 18:45.  I am not a specsavers customer?

I had a call to my mobile from this number I am a specsavers customer however i live in sunny Blackpool and the branch does not have my mobile number very strange indeed!!!!!!

Called by them today. My DD had been cancelled for my lenses, it was their call centre calling to chase me for payment.

They called me and asked me to confirm some security details about ME! Surely if they call me they should know who they're dealing with? I declined to answer them and told him I'd ring my branch. He said cheers and hung up...

today had a call at 10:56, as soon as i said hello they hung up. i do use specsavers but im also in doncaster so no idea why they be calling me from nottingham?!
