I'm glad these comments are here.  We had a call from 0121 424 3333 today and as others have reported were unable to call back.  At least after Googling the number we know who it is, but why can't the hospital just leave a message?

Because of the Data Protection Act. It's personal, identifiable information. I've been going to Heartlands Outpatients for 13 years. Just tell them that it's ok to leave a message and it will be flagged against your hospital number that leaving a message is acceptable, as I did. They regularly leave messages for me.

This number belongs to solihull hospital. I had a call from this number for an appointment which i missed but got a call the next day and i answered. The call was from Solihull Eye clinic ( Solihull Hospital ).

I was rung twice on this number my daughter also received 2 calls
When we rang the number back it was a dead line.

If you cannot get through on this line (after they have called you) it is because the phone is for outgoing calls only and isnt recognised for incoming calls.

it is heart of England appointment line. So solihull, good hope and heartlands will call you to book appts

its the nhs geographical number, could be a call from any BHAM hospitals!!

Received a call from 01214243333.  I was out, dialed 1471 and that was the last number to call me at 2.27pm today.

It was good hope hospital just confirmed I will be attending my appointment

I answered a call from this number, but their system is very simplistic, and therefore useless as you cannot phone it back.
My son is a renal patient at this hospital, but is also Autistic and cannot talk on a phone.
The computer asked if it was my son answering the phone. I answered no, It then asked if I could bring him to the phone. Again I answered no. It then said that it would call back within 24hrs,with no other option to speak to someone.
They apparently want a patient satisfaction survey completed.

Just call them back at 0121 424 2000

All calls beginning with 0121 424 belong to the hospital and if you have an appointment booked at one of the hospitals they send an automated call to see if you are still attending 2 weeks before

Why is calling me

2 calls today. I haven't called back but going through this site it seem to have been going on since 2008. Will call Heartlands tomorrow grrrr

2 mins after my last post I had a call on my home phone. It was an automated call checking to see if I was still going to attend an appointment at Solihull Hospital later this month which I advised that I would. Perhaps they are checking this site haha. No need to worry now.

I answered the phone from the 3333 number and the voice asked to speak to my wife who wasn't present at the time. When I asked the voice who they were I was told they couldn't tell me. I said you don't have to tell me what it's about just tell me who you are. The voice said again that they couldn't tell me so I asked if they were MI5. They just said they were sorry and clicked off.

It is the Heartlands hospital.
