Got this number showing on my caller ID. Seems very strange and certainly partly blocked as most numbers are 11 digits not 5.

Any clues?

Another call again about e- mail virus and how it would effect my computer. different area code this time.

Me too...just had one of these calls and put the phone down on him. I am heartily sick of running downstairs to answer the phone to these con-artists!

Just had a call from 01229, the second 'just code' call in the last hour, the other one was 01208.
Silence then hung up.  Very irritating.

yes me too - have had 4 of these calls in space of last ten minutes.......no five ..... who is it ?

I've had several calls from this area code and so has my husband. Latest yesterday afternoon 23rd April . I don't answer them any more.

phoned back and had an ansa message saying i was called by get bills cheaper

telemarketing call - could be that I just blocked their 0800 number and it will then be Scottish power
If I have to report them again to TPS surely some kind of fine should be applicable?!

So it appears as if this is a company calling about an accident I recently had........

Had a call from Kaja from a web design company on 01229 846233. Cold call, slammed phone down on me... Called back and spoken to Kevin the director and complained and asked to be removed from the database.

on answering i got the dialling tone? Barrow in Furness area code but no number

it is post code for Barrow in furness, Dalton in furness and surrounding areas..

Recorded PPI message from 0122978272 on 29.12.2016 at 11.15am. Got me out of bed, damn them!

Called from 01229 as complete number. Male caller got as far as hello. Didn't give him chance to say anything else. Tone of voice was enough to tell me scam call. Not rung back so far.

Caller hung up after I answered.
