Just with the Blue Sky Asset Protection, the rules that govern the local authority state that in some circumstances a person will be treated as owning or possessing an asset even when they don’t actually own it because they have “deprived” him or herself of the asset in order to reduce the care home charge.  Therefore, if the local authority can prove that the significant reason for making the transfer was to reduce your liability to pay for your own care home fees, then they may still either charge the recipient of the asset or register a charge against the property. If you use a company like this that advertises that this is what it does, then you are showing intent, thereby voiding any benefit in using the company in the first place, unless you lied. Even if you got away with it, the care home provided would be decided by the local authority, so you would not be able to choose the care home. Well they charged me £250 to do my PPI claims and I have ended up having to do it myself, they are all settled now but i have had to do it through the banks, so I want my £250 back because they have done nothing.

Just report them to Trading Standards if they don't give you your money back, have you got any letters of the bank to say you dealt with it.

Yeah, it may not be as that, did you not get any PPI back, i think it says in the contracct that if you are no better off, then you get your money back, they will probably try to say that they never got the money and they run a no win no fee business, thats if you even got a reply, I've got some alternative addresses for you if you dont. Fortunately the website cache is still available. I take it you didnt get any money back of the banks otherwise you would be complaining about you received of them for their commission of 25%.

25% ???? No, I paid up front, they said there was nothing else to pay, I would have been looking at a bill of nearly £4k otherwise, they wouldn't have got that out of me, not for the crap job they did. I still want my £250 back though because they did nothing, they wrote to the banks - eventually, after i had chased them up about it and then it was left for ages. One of the banks even wrote to me and said they were causing a delay because they did not get in touch with them.

Did you pay 25% plus 20% VAT, they lied, they were not registered for VAT, claim it back from them. Tell them that you will escalate it if they dont give it to you. Send your request to :
