Ive been getting calls every so often now for the past fortnight.
They hang up as soon as I answer and when I call back I get a recorded message about TM Connect, first choice for mobile phones and services or something..?

These guys have no clue, didnt know name, network provider or anything so started asking them the same questions and they hung up. Someone tell these people to get a proper job!!!

I have been getting calls from these guys about once a day for the past two weeks. I call and asked them to remove me from the auto dial list. That same afternoon i got a call. I'm a bit tired of it and i'm taking action! You should do the same. The more complaints against them, the more likely they are to stop or be stopped! Go to www.ico.gov.uk or call 01625 545 745. This is the number for the Information Commissioner's Office.

tried everyting 2 stop them from constantly calling me. ended up changin my number thats the only way.. tmobile will change your number 4 free if u tell them that u will leave them if they cant stop the nuisance calls. tried complaining to the  information commissioner and the telephone preference service (tps), they make u wait 28 days, and i was not willing to put up with the nuisance calls for any minute longer. in ur face GM! try buggin me now...

Someone trying to sell me a new phone I think. They asked me when my current contract runs out, when I said that I don't feel I need to tell them that information, they hung up on me..

I've had around 20 calls from them so far, a couple of times every day. They always call when I have my phone on silence so so far I haven't been able to answer, but they kept leaving voicemail messages that were completely blank. Good to know I don't have a stalker al least :D.

Had this today and also a witheld number about a day ago.  Hope it is not taking money off my phone.  Argh.

For all you guys having problems with this company calling you, i sought legal advice, and this is a copy of the letter that was sent out to GM Connect.

Apparently they have the right to cold call until you register your number with the Telephone preference Service or TPS. The only way to stop them from calling is to write to them and send it by recorded delivery (they have various addresses so be aware). Once they receive your letter under Section 11 of the Data Protection Act 1998, they are have a legal obligation to comply with your request to have your data removed from their system within a reasonable timeframe. If they don't then you should take further (legal action).

For the last two weeks, I have been receiving unwanted calls from your company to the number of approximately two to three calls per day. I have called and asked for my number to be removed from your system on three separate occasions, each time I have been told that it will take between 24-48hrs for the system to recognise my number has been removed. I placed my first request for removal from your system on the 29th September 2008 (the most recent call 15th Oct 2008 11H50, I spoke to xxxx). I am still receiving unwanted calls from your company and I am currently seeking legal advice.

I xxxxxxxx  of YOUR ADDRESS hereby formally request that my number 07xxxxxxxxx, and any other numbers or information associated with me, be removed forthwith from your system and deleted (i.e not passed onto another sales/ marketing services or companies connected to your company of independent from your company).

Under Section 11 of the Data Protection Act 1998, you are now under the obligation to comply with my request within the shortest possible delay. I hereby accord you seven working days from the receipt of this letter to comply. Failure to comply will result in court action being brought against you.

getting this about 3 times a day to my business mobile - simply can't be bothered trying to deal with it.

I have been getting calls twice a day for the last 3 weeks.  Have attempted to answer twice but no one on other end.  How do we get rid of this parasite.  They are really getting on my wick now?

GM Connect also have other numbers so beware! They have switched to calling me from 01254278016 instead of from their regular number 01254277054.

this number keeps calling and hanging up its happening like 4 times a day for the last 5 days. Does it work if you call them and tell them to delete you from the list?

They keep calling me when my phone is on silent and I am at work, what idiots. a)Do they not realise by now that NO-ONE is interested, and b) most people are at work between the hours of 9am and 5pm and therefore can't answer their phones anyway!! I'm just ignoring them, but if it carries on I will be doing something about it! Im just glad I'm not the only one getting these calls!!

yea, they phone me everyday. i don't know what to do, when i called the number back i can never get through - if i answer they hang up. im on t-mobile and being called by this number daily is really getting on my tits.

5 calls in last day.  have phoned them by landline and threatened legal action if they continue this cold calling!

This bunch of clowns have called me five times a day for the last 2 weeks to my mobile!! I called them from a different number and everytime they just answer with 'hello' - no name, nothing!!

DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK THIS COMPANY!!!

Had enough. These people are harassing my 11 year old daughter. Same issues with getting nowhere with them. Going to police now.

Called and when answered they hung up immediately
