Why are you calling me

Received two calls today. I have no idea who this is. First time it rang only once. Second time it rang twice.

its Domestic + General insurance.

Thanks, so it was Domestic and General Insurance as I thought it was cold caller.  Will answer it next time it ring!

Whoever keeps ringing me on 01273384442 please stop....I'm getting pissed off with it. The next time you call I will ring back and whistle down the phone with a real referees whistle...hopefully it will render you temporarily deaf....you will then have learned a lesson.

Just answer phone and sit it on worktop or couch etc and run uptheir phonebill

Scummy telesales vultures. The day will come when these scam companys are closed down. Don't care about the call centers opinion because he doesn't care about anyone else's. It's a good system of ignorance we have here among us civilized human beings. Get a job where you aren't pestering the weak or elderly people who are now too scared to answer their house phones thanks to you con men.

If it is D&G why are they not prepared to leave a message on ansaphone?  They start to listen to msg then put phone down.  We only answer callers who either are on our caller ID or who are prepared to leave a msg.

I've had some good extended warranties with D & G so when they rang me I guess there was a need. My only criticism is that because I was out they didn't leave a message on the answer fone so I don't know what it's about. Basically I think phoning existing clients is ok if there's a reason but cold calling is a definite no no.

The answer is simple. If you don't recognise the number don't answer the phone. Put the number in call barring memory on your phone. It won't even ring then when they call you again.

Just had them call me (did a 1471 to find out the number).  I didn't make it to the phone in time, the answer phone just kicked in, I picked up the handset, they'd hung-up!!  

Makes a change to get a different telemarketer calling, usually it's 'lifestyles' with one of their surveys for anyone they can get to answer their questions, or Orange/EE, trying to flog their land line service if you upgrade to fibre broadband at a speed even BT says I can't get till July 2015, so how they can flog it is beyond me?!!

I'll await their re-call then (D&G) for their sales person to have a chat to the cat, whilst I put the kettle on, mow the lawn, etc!!

Very odd if it is D&G as when we answered it she was speaking in a foreign language or at least that's what it sounded like. Said hello and then it was silence so hung up on them.

I keep getting calls from this number, when I checked, it comes up as a plumber, Central Heating firm in Brighton area.  I registered a complaint on line.

Just open line rings several times a day .

Just had this number call us, but didn't get to the phone in time. Will make a note not to answer it.

Had a call from this number today - line went dead when I answered it.  Another one for the call blocker

Please stop calling my number, its meant to be ex directory which doesn't seem to count these days. I don't want to buy anything and even if I did I would research it myself.  

Hi,  I have just had a call from D & G asking about my New world cooker and a fridge freezer.  He asked for my address and I refused to give it. He asked me about payments coming out of my bank account,  I told him that I didn't have a fridge freezer or a new world cooker. He said I must have because I was paying monthly insurance instalments. He asked did I know anyone of the same name and initial who had the items, I said no. He could not tell me what the address was he had for me because of data protection. I am elderly and my children have told me never to give personal details to anybody,  although I didn't it is worrying that it could be so easy to con older people into giving information.  I asked him to send a letter to me to tell me what the query was and he told me he couldn't. I think D & G should stop phoning people to ask about insurances, probably to get people to take further insurance out if the original one had lapsed.  

I was called last night at 2039 hrs by this mystery number, but did not get to the telephone in time and the caller left no message.
