I keep getting phone calls at all hours from this number. Luckily my phone has a "call Guardian" which blocks the caller if they do not disclose their name. However I keep seeing this No in the section "gathering calls info"... so they do not get deterred by the lack of answering and keep at it regardless. Just now have phoned this No it's a medical insurance outfit... so have asked them to delete my No from their call list. Let's see what will happen next!

"If you call 01285 864670 it is a free number and charged at your normal rate".  Well now that's a conflicted statement if ever I saw one. How can it be 'free' if 'charged at normal rate'?

Yeah, was kinda wondering about that. Got the mental picture of large polystyrene 01285  numbers gamboling across a meadow shouting " I'm Free"  then running downhill at a standard rate. I really need to get some sleep.

Reported this lot to the FCA and Data Protection agency, they call without having genuine number tracking meaning they cannot identify how they got your number!!!!! They will stop when  they eventually get fined :)

Incredible that this company has continued to make nuisance calls for over six years. So much for the government cracking down on this type of activity. My advice would be to answer the call, take a deep breath, dig deep into the darkest recesses of your mind, think of all the things that upset you or annoy you and scream blue bloody murder down the phone. Scream and rant like you've never screamed or ranted before.

Called three times today, first two times hung up when I answered  3rd time was from a health insurance call centre a lady called Emma based in Cirenchester

I've had 4 calls so far from this number and its barely 11am. They also called me from a separate number but I knew it was them as the town is the same. They don't leave a message which is annoying. This is a company that sells health insurance, I read on another site they were fined a few years ago for sending spam texts. If they want me to speak to them they should leave a message or email me, they obviously work on commission or else they wouldn't harass people like this! I have now blocked them.

I've not asked for any insurance quote online or given my number to anyone. When I do fill in online forms for whatever reason, I never use my real mobile or landline numbers for this reason, so someone is passing data on. I would suggest to the people calling, ie Russell should he be a real professional, you really shouldn't continuously call people whether they have shown an interest or not. It's really annoying and is more likely to create a bad impression of you and your company. Having worked in several call centres etc the rule is three calls over a space of time with a message to say you've called and are there to help should you need it in future. We never bombarded people with unwanted calls, it's rude and unprofessional.

You should really get the hint after your second or at least third attempt that the person doesn't want to know. You won't change their mind by harassing them constantly.

I doubt they are professional however, as like I said I haven't requested this, I haven't given my number out to anyone and I've never heard of them so I'd avoid.

Calling my mobile for some reason.  I reckon my number has been passed/sold to them by an insurance company I had a quote from.. Thought that was illegal..
