- She| 1 replySame thing! Pity B.T. Can't intercept this sort of call!!
- Ian Condie| 3 repliesThey identified themselves as Pure Independence and are based in Dundee. The caller claimed they did research into arthritis and wanted me to try a heat pad for free. This involved someone calling at my home with the item - probably a salesman.
As far as I can see from Google, they are not a research company but just another telemarketing firm. It's just another way of getting round the TPS rules and regulations as far as I can see.- Caller: Pure Independence
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Annoyed| 1 replyThe directors are James and Judith Foster and the company details are
Pure Independence UK Ltd
Unit 3 Larch Court
Wester Gourdie Industrial Estate
Dundee DD2 4UH
If you are registered with TPS report to them and they will follow up. Also you can issue a section 11 Data Protection Act 1998 notice to the company telling them they are not to use your details for marketing purposes. This is a legal requirement in case you have to report them to the Information Commissioner. I issued the notice on 30 March 2011 and have just received a call. Jodie also was unable to answer my questions and she said I did not have to be rude!
If all wrote as above they will have to stop especially when the Information Commissioner gets involved.

- A.CJust got a call from this number. The caller hung up when the answering machine kicked in. Yet another to add to my list of over 50 unwanted callers!
- ScepticI picked up the phone, said loudly to my wife "sounds like another of those scam calls" and the line went dead!
I'll file a report with TPS as usual. - Laura Bruce| 1 replyThey are adjustable beds sales people... Beds costing nearly £4000.

- AndrewDI got a call today (20/03/13) - a man’s voice - something about a health survey I am supposed to have completed about a year ago. I do not remember anything about a health survey. He said the answers mentioned something about aches and pains. Did I suffer aches and pains? - I said no. Could it be anyone else in the house? - again I said no. He gave up and said, thank you for your time.
I've no idea what that was about. - RosieFrom a guy who reckoned I had completed a health survey 12 months ago. I said I wouldnt have done such a survey and he said okay and hung up. Some sort of scam I imagine and funnily enough had only just put the phone down from another scam call, an Indian guy reckoning it was bank charges I was due back, made we wonder if the two were connected as obviously both scams of some kind. Will they ever stop!
- Beware Data Blagger Scammers replies to MoData blaggers... after your data. Just hang up or even better, don't pick up.

Visit www.actionfraud.police.uk to report attempted and actual fraud - Ripped off| 1 replyPlease can you stop this number asap as conned my poor 82 year old mum into paying £2300 for a bed and they took off with her £1000 deposit!! Again got access saying they were from the health Service to help her re her athiritis Please stop as she is on TPS but it isnt working!!

- Nan replies to Ripped offPosting on this website does not stop calls, it is purely a forum. It is not a case of TPS not working. TPS only works with reputable UK sales companies. They scrub their calling lists to remove TPS registered numbers. Rogue UK companies do not do this and, if a call is received from a UK sales company then it needs to be reported to TPS. If we don't report the calls TPS doesn't know we are getting them. It is not a call blocking system. Have you reported this to Action Fraud? Have you reported it to the Fraud Department of her bank or Card Supplier? As this is fraud she should be able to get her money back. If you are worried about your mum you could get her a call blocking unit. There are several on the market, but watch out for those which charge a "well hidden" annual fee. The Truecall unit can be set up so that she only receives calls from family, friends ans, say GPs etc. I don't know it other units have this facility.
- scepticThey're still at it, another scam call, ignoring my TPS registration (to whom I have complained https://complaints.tpsonline.org.uk/Consumer/).

- scepticSame again today: the useless TPS do nothing.

- sueThe caller said I had filled a questioner in 12months ago. Told her I was not interested as they called the day before.
- ElaineJust had a call from this number. Very patronising voice.Identified himself as Brandon. Said I'd filled in a health questionnaire 12 months ago. Told him that was rubbish, that I hadn't and that was a very poor opening gambit to a sales call. told him I was with the TPS and to take my number off his list. He kept on talking at which point I said goodbye and hung up. Dundee code.
- PamJust had call from this number very caller polite said that I had filled in a health survey 12 mths ago wasn't even in the country last year . - MikeJust had a call in response to a health survey I filled in last year ?????????? and wanting me to confirm my address!
- Do not answer| 1 replyI worked for this company for all of 1 day. It involves cold calling hundreds of elderly citizens and "tricking" them into getting a visit from a rep, who would show up and pressure you into a sale for a phony heat/pressure mat that really does not work. I could not and would not work for such an organisation, I would rather do without. Do NOT answer the phone to these con artists.

- SF in Malborough DevonJust received a call from this number 01382677024 guy with American accent stating he was called Robert and wanted to speak to a named person (a relative of mine) who had completed a survey some 12 months ago for them, which they were following up. I demanded to know the name of the company "Pure Independent UK" and when really pressed on who they were he claimed to be a therapy pad with a data base of people who had used therapy and collated their opinions on it. He was keen to identify who I was but I declined and informed him the person he was after had died over five years and could not have completed the survey! he claimed they seek opinions from people aged 60-95 years. He stated he was not a survey company but could not satisfactorily explain what his company did. I informed him that he was clearly being deceitful as the person couldn't have completed the survey he claimed and told him I wanted the data removed from his data base which did not seem to be in Compliance with data protection act and never to call this number again. I requested they review their company policy to ensure they began complying with the law in respect of Data Protection as the information he claims to have held was not accurate. I am certain this company is a scam seeking out the old and vulnerable to exploit and would suggest they are up to no good as I cannot identify any genuine company through open source research.
