I live with my elderly grandfather. Today we received a phonecall from a 'hothouse energy' company. As soon as she mentioned the name i told her my grandfather was not interested to which i got a very cheeky reply of 'and how would you know' to which i told her that i was his granddaughter. I got another reply of 'aye but you don't know what the call is about' i instantly hung up on her. I couldn't believe the way she spoke to me, i cant even imagine what she would have been like if it were my granddad on the phone! I have half the mind to phone back and make a complaint. He shouldn't even be getting these phonecalls in the first place

The company use a database with numbers on it if the person threatens to complain to TPS we speak to the manager and simply score them off the paper and quality control SHOULD remove the number from the database the call centre is a joke with high targets and 1 day training b4 being put on the phone live

Best advice is to register with TPS and complain

If you ain't registered google TPS UK and register then complain about them
