Just received a phonecall from "01423" (this is the Harrogate area code) When I answered, an Indian lady was asking for one of our directors who doesn't work in the office, wanting to confirm the details for "the contract" and for his address to send a "£100 business voucher". I said he wouldn't be interested and put the phone down.

It looks as though they are spoofing UK area codes and I got a silent call from "01419" (Glasgow)five minutes before.

I have received 4 calls from area code 01423, fortunately they were missed calls so I don't have any comments about the content of the call.  Does anyone else have more information.  All calls from same area code but 3 separate numbers.
No caller ID just the number came up.

Got a call. Missed it. Thought it was my sister as she's the same area code. It wasn't. Got an automated service about the service cannot be connected.

Missed call but at 9 on a Saturday night so not a normal business caller

I got a call from this number 04123 no other number and it was some indian guy claiming he was from uk claims..........

i just went along with the call to see where it would go so i could tel him to fuk off..... he started to say i was entiteld to money back from my bank due to ppi payments....

he was able to tell me my address and then started to ask for more details such as my date of birth etc.... thats when i got nasty...... when he kept asking i started laughing down the phone at him......

he continuted to ask so i just said if he knew all my details then he could tell me it.. but he lept insisting on data protection and all the crap...

so i just told him that he could shove the data protection up his [***] and i wasnt giving him anything... and hung up.

Just had a missed call from same number 01423 545521. Tried calling back but engaged. Don't know what made me do it but put the number in google and found this site. Obviosly an identity theft scam. How can you let other unsuspecting public to be aware if it?

Some old guy just left me a voicemail saying he wanted to book the girl from down under! I am a bloke!

got call from 01423-567664 on my mobile,didnt answer as driving car on hols southern europe where it cost a friend 200 euros to do the same when police saw her on phone and driving

been called from 01423567664 loads of times and they keep asking for mr Atkins...we r on tps n i am so getting fed up with the calls!!! its national ppi line btw..

Just received a call from 01423 567664 as well.  Hung up immediately.  Also receiving several calls from companies trying to sell insurance, etc.  Getting really angry about this!!!!!!!!
