Its definitely carphone warehouse and chasing a contract bought on e2save and its very very annoying as they ring twice and hang up.
I rang their customer service number at 0871 522 3400  and they put a note on my account that they are not allowed to call me anymore.

rang and hung up. weird!

Same story as above two rings and off they went.

I've just had the same - 2 rings then hung up.

Am also on an O2 contract - They've rung me every day this week to talk to me about my O2 contract.  Every time I've said I've already spoken to someone and every time they've promised me they will take me off the system.  Anyone any idea what I can do to make them go away?

So I just phoned the number back - the guy that answered told me they were mobiles4free (http://mobile-4-free.2u.co.uk/) and wanted to talk to me about my O2 contract.  I told him I'd already spoken to them on a number of occasions this week and I was getting really p'd off about it so would like to complain.  He gave me a number (08717 167685) to ring.  I tried it but apparently there was noone available to take my call and so it hung up.  Having typed this number into google I found this - http://phoneowner.info/Number.aspx/08717167685  and having looked at the mobiles4free website contact page I noticed that there are actually no contact details...

I phoned O2, who basically told me they couldn't do anything about it, but gave me the phone number for Phonepay plus.  So I phoned them, and they couldn't do anything but told me to phone Ofcom - 02079813040.  Obviously they're closed after 5pm and at weekends...  But am going to complain to them.

I work for o2, it is a scam number an o2 would not have a 3rd party phone any customer on behalf of them

this number just tried to call me but hung up as i picked up. Called back and was told something about that was a colleague of mine trying to call you about getting loans written off etc. I put the phone down. There trying to cold call me and to get me to pay the bill… ingenius scumbag scammers.

Yes, these guys are calling and hanging up deliberately so that you ring them back.  Try to write off debts for you.  Yes, I told them I had hundreds of debts on lots of credit cards.  Long story short, I wasted 45 minutes of their time giving them completely bogus information about me, my debts, cards, etc. However, if you are Eric Shnelzenhauser, living on 111354 Acacia Avenue in Leicester, please accept my apologies for any strange mail you may be getting
