my fella spoke to these people....ask them not to call again , there a loan company & it cost 1.25 a min to ring them back they find a company that will give you a loan , they take ur details then tell you they have ex amount ov people who will give you a loan but ask for a payment ov 40 quid to send you the list .....there bloody jokers ...as if!!!!

They also go by the name of ULD but the woman wouldn't tell me what ULD stood for so I hung up on her and googled the number. Oh look, its Cash Finance direct yet again but going by yet another name

Telephone Preference Service (TPS) doesn't work as I've used it but now they call again

Haven't applied for anything recently & I have a new number, so dnt know how these ppl have got my details, but they have been calling about 15 times a day & when im at work (most annoying) but havent left any messages.

Ok whats happen here is you or your partner have applied for a credit card or loan and have been refused.  

The information YOU or your partner provided to the card or loan company website has been sold on the Leadx trade floor within seconds.  www.leadx.com.  Its a Manchester outfit that trade the information YOU provide to the highest bidder.

Most likely your mobile number will of been drowned by texts soon after your application by people like Debtline and Abacus etc.  Your house phone will have multiple automated voice messanges asking you to press 5 etc.

They rang through the landline number, and then again and the call centre wench refused consistently to tell me which company gave them my number. She kept trying to talk through her script and I kept asking "who gave you my number" and finally had to raise my voice because she refused to abandon her script. And evne then she had the nerve to snarl "you don't have to raise your voice" (clearly I did).

Thank heavens I didn't even come close to the premium rate scam I've been reading about, but what's disturbing me is that I *am* registered already with the Telephone Preference Service, and I *always* click "no third party" on everything and they still managed to get hold of my details. When I find out who put these a**holes on my back, writs are going to fly.

I keep getting calls too from same number. I answered they asked if I had applied for a loan I said no they said sorry for bothering me but still they phone my mobile about 8 times a day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this number rings everyday even on sundays, i've tried barring it but it doesnt work

Number been calling me all day, when I called back it was Horizon Finance. http://www.horizon-finance.co.uk/why.aspx I tell you, you make one, just one enquiry one day then they ALL call you dont they?! all the debt solution people and finance people grr anyway if you call the number back theres an option to remove your number from their calling lists. Can take up to 2 days apparently.

If you call them there is an option to remove you from there calling list but can take a couple of days apparently. Wonder how much it cost me to find that out..?

Its awful when all you might have done is make one inquiry to a loan company then they all seem to find out your number and constantly call or email you!

today Iv had at least 6 missed calls from this number. if I dont recognise the number I dont answer and I wont untill I know who it is.

I had hundreds (82 in one week) calls from them, same as you guys.

One day I decided to say "yes" and see if that stopped them....but....I hadnt wanted a loan, I wanted a credit card. They started calling me about credit cards!!! Ok I thought, bring it on, after all if I burn the limit and didnt pay it would be them that lost out initially. They didnt want money, had all my details already, and went through confirmation of those details but did read a lot of them out to me so they knew who I was. They wanted a Visa debit card, to confirm my ID at my end (to prove It really was me they were speaking to...) - so I used a visa prepay card I have but dont use if you know what I mean, happy with that, the guy transferred me to a supervisor (remember they called me, no phone cost) and he confirmed the details, Mastercard with a 4k limit, super (I thought) - send it to me. It is supposed to be in the post, 0% interest for one year then 5% after that......we will see.

No more calls, thats been 2 weeks, except one from another supervisor checking a reference number they told me to keep safe, and confirmed my details again, said thats fine the card is on its way, we have to call again for ID confirmation after 2 weeks because we did business by phone.

No more nuisance calls now. Just waiting to see if the card arrives, or they try and empty my bank account LOL....

yes they have now started to ring me also, i was just on moneysupermarket.com yesterday and these calls have started already!!!

These people call me then the line goes dead. I have had several calls at stupid hours from them over the last week. Have no idea who they are although reading the blog below they may be loan suppliers. I haven't applied for any loans but someone has in my name as I got contacted by Black Horse and other agencies. I have reported this to Experian as I have already had my identity cloned once before - if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem I suggest you contact Experian and get a look at your credit report. You may find, as I have done today, that you have had a dozen or more credit checks on loans you haven't applied for. This is bad for your credit rating hence why it is good to put a note on your Experian record so that genuine lenders are made aware of what has happened.

i had 3 missed calls from this number. tried ringing it back, got an answering machine [***] saying *thank u for calling horizon finance company - we r sorry we missed u earlier but we will try to call u back* then hung up. when they rang again, i answered and had some youngster (i am only 25) say that she needed to speak to my partner (who had applied for a loan on moneysupermarket.com - tesco & blackhorse) Anyway, this wee girl said she was from CS LOANS - which funnily enough throws back no results in google!!!
DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE AS THEY ARE CONN ARTISTS!!!!
Also, while i am on the subject and absolutely fuming - withheld number call came through today also - fella claiming he was from BESTFORLOANS - again - NO SUCH FINANCE COMPANY!!! Then last but certainly not least - 2 numbers from same company - 08006528529 & 01619687080 who claim they are EASY STEP LOANS (i had never heard of them till yesterday)... i foolishly gave them all my details - then after they approved my loan of 10,000, they cleaned my bank account out of 99.99 then they wouldnt answer the fone to me.!! needless to say i have had to cancel my maestro card, report it to the police and am now going to research this in total depth .... trading standards and whoever else i need to speak to will be fed up listening to me by the time i have finished with them.. BY THE WAY - THESE COMPANIES GOT MY NAME THRU ME APPLYING THRU MONEYSUPERMARKET - which is clearly breaking the data protection act as i did not apply to any of these companies for a loan!!!!! LIVID!!!!
