Called by one Mark Jones claiming to be from Manchester Court Enforcement calling on behalf of an organisation called Q Media, demanding money for an account he says I owe and claiming to be after a Court Order that he says was issued  and I signed receipt for 3 weeks ago. I have not signed anything and am not aware that I have ordered anything off these scammers.  Mr Jones was very aggressive and rude, to the point where I felt I was being bullied and harassed.  I have consulted my lawyer, who said to report to the police, which I will do.

Please beware of 0161 300 3604 mark jones of manchester courts. I too have been subject to the demands for money before the balifs turned up!! I'd already given the details (but now closed the account!) Before finding out it was a scam. The police have been notified, along with trading standards. Please please be aware of this, as i'm normally very much on the ball!

Have today rec'd another call from Paul Jones asking for £495 for supposed crime prevention entry in national police magazine.  Did not give any impression that I have already reported him and let him ramble on. He gave his number as 07719 701 819 and says he works for Debt Recovery Service in Manchester, 109 Portland St,  he could not remember his post code but gave a number as 0161 205 1122.

He says a CCJ will be filed at Manchester Magistrates Court (should be a County Court) if we do not pay.  He also stated that a cheque was sent by us in March but bounced.  We do not issue cheques.

Another name he gave (baliff) Mr Roberts 07784 843 842.  Court ref ZP04X 625 9PZ.

Another phone number given was 0870 042 9620 (not sure what this is).

This scam is for Studio 31 of Dale St.

I too was contacted at my business on 7th June at 1.38pm by a Paul Jones . Also talked very quickly and in an aggressive tone stating he was an enforcement officer from the courts . Stating £500 was owed for advertising and to pay imediately or the balifs would be sent immediately to close my business.

I asked for information on this said 'debt' after this person had verbally tormented my partner and was also verbally abused, he then hung up on me .

After being harassed by Mr Jones myself, we spoke to the police who told us to ring Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. They gave me a crime reference number and told me not to speak to him again. This morning he rang my pub and spoke to one of my staff who told him I was busy. He hung up, then called straight back and left an abusive answer phone message. About 5 minutes ago he rang once more, spoke to another member of staff who told him the police and the fraud team are now involved to which he apologised and said he wouldn't contact us again. It really upsets me to know that there are people out there who are so unethical that they scam innocent people of of their hard earned money.

Have received ANOTHER call from Paul Jones. He is now threatening myself and my staff with violence and bailiffs. What the hell is going on??! Have reported the threatening phone calls to the police.
