This number has texted my mobile with a loan approval up to 15k. totally unsolicited. I have no idea why or where they got my number. Any ideas or information would be appreciated.

Received a text from this number. States 'Great news, we have recvd your loan app & eed to speak to you.' Requested I call this number before 8pm. I forwarded it to Vodafone service VSPAM (87726)  who request all spam texts be sent to them. They say it is ok to send STOP to these texts although I have been warned in the past that doing this confirms that they have reached a working number.

The ICO has no powers to track, trace or block any caller.

That's right, they investigate data sharing non-compliance issues. The symptom of this non-compliance is muppets and criminals calling us. If the ICO did its job this problem would be greatly reduced.

thes crooks are a owl loan brooker there liers and bunch con artists i called them and requested they remove my information straight away as i had made no sutch loan applications to them and that my information and numbers had been all stolen and they were using stolen information to try to obtain commission fees i was told last week when i called them they be no more tx messages or calls it was nothing but lies from them i have receved more from them to day 02/09/2011 there nothing but liers after confronting them i then receved 18 other tx messages from www.mobilepounds.co.uk and www.paday31.com www.mrborrower.co.uk i am totly plaged by thes crooks at cash finance i am taking legal action it is criminal offence to use stolen information

this company have been harassing me for over a year now are sending texts to my mobile 2-3 times a day. i have no idea who they are and why after a year they still keep harassing me by texts and calls.

I have received many emailks text and phone calls from this cpmpany which took £70.00 out of my bank account, i have not applied for any loans especially not ones wiht such high interest!! they are rip off merchants! yer you may have licenses in place but gathering 3rd party info then using it to get peoples bank details and then take the money us cause you have visited the site! OMG these companies are stupid! have fraud squad on the case atm!

Notice how they've gone back to using one of their old numbers.  Look at the time gap between their scam message from last year to now. That's because too many people are recognising their newer numbers! Googling them just brings up "scam" and I guess the scammers are having difficulty acquiring new numbers, and maybe that's due to financial reasons due to them finding it harder and harder to scam more people.
