somone rang me from this number? who are these ppl? any suggestions??

RAC apparently?

Got a call from 0161 4238000 (Ian) who initially said Aviva Insurance, then went on to mention health insurance and specifically a collegue from UK Health.
I called the number and you get a message that says someone from RAC called and will try again, so called RAC who confirmed that this number is not recognised as one of theirs.

Called, and knew my name, asked if I'd broken down and said it was the RAC. I don't even own a car.

I got a call from this number yesterday, it was the rac. I had broken down and they were calling me to let me know the recovery truck was on its way

Some person called me from this number and left what sounded like a beltch on my voicemail. I've always said a lack of education breeds ignorance. Boy was I right!! If it was the RAC I'm glad I cancelled their direct debit.

I had to get in touch with the RAC last night. After I'd reported the problem, their local rep called me to say he was on his way. Then when I got home I noticed a missed call from 0161 423 8000 - I tried to call them back but the call won't connect. Whatever it is, I doubt it's anything worth worrying about!

This number has rung me twice this morning, and unfortunately I missed the calls.  Each occasion my phone only rang three times before they cancelled the call.  I have tried ringing back, but there is no reply - I left it ringing for over two minutes each time.  Only then did I decide to check, and have obviously read previous messages left here.  I'm not sure why they have rung - if it is the RAC as has been suggested above, I'm not sure why they would ring me.

It is definitely the RAC. I am waiting for a rescue van to arrive, and they have just called from this number to advise me he is on his way.

the rac centre in manchester is shared with other companies so you may get calls from a few different people, i know that british gas and rac operate from the same centre.

This is definately the RAC, they have just rung me back on that number to update me on when a patrol car will get to me.  hope that helps

THIS IS NOT THE RAC GUYS, the people who are saying it is are working for an anonymous company and are pretending it was the RAC

been having this for a few weeks now, on and off, says from my break down company and will ring me again later, well just added it to my reject numbers list

it is the rac ive called them back, to do with breakdown recovery etc

It will be either RAC or Aviva who are both based in the same call centre in Manchester.
