    yeah had you on the fone several times today.....claimed to be calling on behalf of my insurance company but you couldn't name them.......i have never met anyone who couldn't name the company they're working for even if it is indirectly!!!!!!!

    Chameleon are scammers
    I worked there for a week and a day. did my weeks training, and one day on the phone. I was what it was like and got the hell out of there.

    Its office only employs about 70 people but the turnover was ridiculously fast. In my intake there were 7 of us, and the week after we did our training another 6-7 were being inducted. The unfortunate thing is that it is such a small office that no-one there can actually warn you to get the hell out without being heard and getting sacked. In my opinion, the staff turnover is so fast because they dont get enough claims, they badmouth the company, or they see what a crooked bunch of dicks chameleon are.

    If you use comparison sites to get insurance, never put your mobile number in.... This is where it ends up.  These guys don't care about the hassle you get from staff or the annoying repetative calling.  Usually in Telemarketing / Telesales they have around a 3 call limit before discarding the lead, but these companies can be relentless.  This particular company is Chameleon Telesales Ltd, so the chances are they have been given data by someone who has bought it from comparison sites.  Chameleon deal in insurance claims so they are calling on behalf of an insurance claims specialist on the off chance you've had an accident in your car or on a motorcycle.

    So if your reading this Chameleon, if you have to do this then if you confirm with your client that the data has only people who HAVE an an accident, you will be annoying less people and help out your reputation.  Anyone in this industry knows that a majoriy of people tell their friends and family about bad experiences with a company, but only around 1 in 10 mention positive experiences.

    Reality
    Chameleon is an accident management company. They buy data off insurance companies about accidents reported (fault or non-fault). They lie pretending to be a part of your insurance company in a bid to gain your trust and they pass you on to their fraudulent panel of solicitors in order for them to get paid by these solicitors.
    Chameleon and other accident management companies like these are a disgrace to the British society.

    The Chameleon agents who speak to clients have to sweet talk and get these clients to lie to the solicitors they eventually get transferred to that they felt pains either the day or the next day of the accident and that the pains were felt for a minimum period of two months. This is the only way the solicitors take cases on and get the agents paid.
    The company Chameleon is nothing but a dodgy scam of a company and in my opinion should have its management seriously dealt with.

    got call from this number this am  ,company gave name as camelion insurance.....
    they asked for another member of my household (who would not have given them my number),
    they then said that she had been looking for insurance upto two years ago..
    when challenged they gave up there name as camelion , passed my phone to family member who
    spoke to them  they then said "she had been involved in an accident two years ago and wanted to check it up" as she had not beeen in any accident she told them to remove all incorect information from there system  and put phone down

    hello i work for chameleon telesales and its the worst place ever. they just ring around hoping people have had accidents. they favour people. the promise you everything and then just let you down. there greedy and want money for themselves. they make agents to so much work and pay them pennys becus they want to keep the money for there flashy BMW or audi TT, or probly to fund the main bosses in las vegas. this is horrible. on the website its a pack of lies after lies. this company is going to get shut down becus it is so pooooooor. worrds cant even explain how bad it is there. piece of .... if u ask me

    Chameleon are typical with the website promising complaints will be investigated, an automated telephone number removal system that doesn't work.  They are like much of this country, superficial and being seen to do rather than doing.  They have been making literally scores of calls to my partners phone, most cannot be answered as they are 'data calls', the ring tone is different.  Consequently she has had up to 10 calls a day for 3 weeks.  We have contacted them but they do not remove details.  Her phone is also registered with the Telephone Preference Service.

    Incidentally we have no loans, had no accidents, we are all paid up and have not done any online insurance or anything.  In fact her number is rarely given to anyone so no idea how this started.  I suggest if anyone else gets these calls you must write a sensibe and coherant letter to the TPS, the claims regulation people so they are better regulated.  Don't just mouth off here, it goes nowhere that will change anything.

    Oh, and the calls are from 2 Manchester numbers, a web search reveals they are Cameleon and when I called they confirmed my partners number is on their database and would be removed...which it wasn't.  You can call them on 0845 688 1233.
