Started recieving calls from this number yesterday. It's an unusual number to say the least

I just got called by this number too. I answered and got no response, so I hung up.. Next time i'm gonna answer with such profanity they wont phone back. :)

I'm not calling them back because some people try to get you to by either hanging up or not speaking.. Much like this..

buy a whistle and next time they call just answer dont speak just blow whistle hard lol

i am so fed up of these calls and as usual my phone company dont help

They phoned me again this morning at 11:13 but nobody was in, shame, I know my son has a whistle too lol..
Anyway, unless they phoned more than once today, this is the second time they've phoned me.. Who the hell are they and what do they want? >:(

If your getting these 'cold' calls or annoying calls more than once a day, don't use a whistle, because your only annoying an answering machine. Dial 14258** with the two stars, your pin will be 12345, choose option 1 then enter 08001216902 with a # at the end to confirm. It will then repeat your number, make sure it is right. Then press one to accept the call barring. Hopefully this should sort the problem, if not you can contact trading standards to complain to them and they should investigate and sort the problem.

Just got a call from 01619 and got no answer had the same last week anyone know where they come from

Keep receiving calls from 01619-352119..there is never anyone at the other end of the line. Can't wait until there is !!!!!

Just had a call from 01619 and someone on the other end said quite smothered I kill anyone who gets in my way and put the phone down....really creeped out!! Anybody know who holds info on these numbers

This number has called me four times today, I answered twice and they put the phone down, so annoying and what is the point?

I am also getting these calls on my mobile phone.  They ring me at leas 2/3 times per day  They ring on this number 01619 983669.  If you answer it theres no one there at all.  Its obviously a machine dialling lots of numbers.  I am also fed up with it.

a number with this prefix calls about 4/5 times a day and if answered the clown on the other end just screams down the phone then hangs up.

Had a call on my mobile and could not identify the code little lone the number.  I put this down to 'yet' another touter the number is 01619 390436.

I will in future programe these numbers in my mobile contacts list so that when then ring again (and they will) it will show up as a touter and I just won't answer it.

if its a number you dont know then let it ring. If its someone who knows you they can send you a text message saying who they are.

If you can, download an app which deals with any call you don’t want to receive. Search for one for your type of phone. I have one called ‘Buzz off’ on my Blackberry. There are many more similar.  It can divert calls automatically to voice mail or even ‘pick up and drop the call’ so you won’t get bothered or even hear the ring.

01619 is an area code for Manchester. Its more than likely to be a travel insurance company or as you someone said touter.

I had a call off 01619352119 they said hello but I hung up because it was ridiculously early!
