Keep calling even though I have informed them that I have an IVA in place. Very persistent and irritating.  Last caller didn't have a clue what she was talking about . I was warned by my IVA company that some debt collection companies will still hound you even though you have an IVA in place.

If you are certain which Company is calling you can report them to the Financial Ombudsman Service.    Contact details are at http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/contact/index.html     If they are in the habit of such behaviour, they can lose their licence.

See they've gone to the other number again, running out of room in phone to add all the numbers, wish they'd stop calling as their after a member of my family, but they ring my home phone trying to reach them, all I do is pass the message on when I see the person, not up to me to get them to call!  They can keep ringing as I've got to know their numbers so don't answer the phone anyway!

Had numerous phone calls and letters from these people demanding money for a debt that is 15 years old and was paid off in a court settlement for my divorce (all joint debts had to be paid in full before divorce was granted). They are now stating that it wasn't paid..... Told them to take me to court...... Oops, they can't due to the statute of limitations having long past so its pointless chasing for money. Totally ignorant, abrupt and arrogant woman. "You've ignored our letters" Damn right I have, I don't owe you now [***]....

I agree with others re these idiots.  Automated calls.  Arrogant.  Persistant.  I have anagramed their name into my phone block as "Ray Wobinson" just because it makes me giggle.  I know, I need to get a life, but not as much as they do.

I am not a huge fan of BT (and no, I don't work for them) but best £50 I spent (Amazon) was the twin pack of BT 8500 phones with Call Blocker on them.  Works perfectly.  I know because it shows up on my phone that they contacted me but couldn't get through.

There seems to be a pattern!

Perversely these calls are quite useful as my dog is trained to alert me to the telephone and he likes the practice (and the treat).  Unless they call me "properly" they will never be able to speak to me as I am a little "hard of hearing".  Maybe I could bring them "to heel" with the dog's whistle!  Nevertheless this has become antisocial and verging on harassment.

I have been logging these "pests" with the ICO for some time.  Nothing will happen but eventually there will be enough for action to be taken.  You cannot take a complaint to either the Financial Conduct Authority or the Financial Ombudsman without following the correct procedure, which is:

1.  give the "pest" the opportunity to mend their ways.
2.  file a complaint with the FCA.
3.  and only then can you take the complaint to the Ombudsman.

Therefore In the first instance you should write to the Company Secretary at their registered address.

You have given them a chance (or several chances) to mend their ways by telling them not to call you.  The fact that you have logged your complaints with the ICO is proof of that.  Are you aware that since the news laws came in in April the ICO only needs one complaint to take action?

another debt company Cabot Financial has asked Robinson way to collect on their behalf. i have no dealing with caboit to start with and have blocked all numbers. now added the two frequent used number to my reject list.

Nice one Pete!  Good to see others who recognize just how little any alleged "Debts" are to purchase.  They never actually call round (costs too much?) and even if they did, have NO power to extract any payments without a Court Order!  Won't apply for these, again, because of the relative costs which they are unlikely to recover!!  I NEVER answer any withheld or unrecognized number so sweet FA with a twist from me also!!

Just had a call from this number. The guy who I spoke to said it was a personal matter and tg then started going on about data protection. I said I wouldn t speak tohim unless he told me what the personal matter was. After a few attempts where he tried to ask me my date of birth and I refused  unless he'd tell me what is  the call was about he said he'd have to contact me by letter. I googled the number. No idea who these people are, I am paying debts but not to them. If they want to communicate by letterbt that's fine, that's how I'll communicate with them!

They today so I let it go to my answering machine. All I heard was "This is a message for" then then they disengaged. I don't have any debts so I suspect they just trawl different addresses hoping to strike lucky
