Someone asked me to give my home address, they did not say who they were and they are an agent

The UK Financial Conduct Authority now has the responsibility of overseeing Debt Collection activities.    If you report your experiences with Moorcroft to the FCA they will not be amused.            Don't be too hard on TPS.    Debt Collection calls are outwith their scope, which really only includes sales and marketing calls, but only those that are really easy for them and don't involve them in any effort.  The rest of reports to them just get a pro forma letter.

Automated call ask for someone whose name I don't know and cant pronounce, say they a Moorcroft group as previous posts,  I have no debts outstanding paid off or otherwise, I don't do credit ever so just hung up will be reporting them if I get pestered hopefully a one off

Rang and I ignored it, as not recognised (if it's important, they'll leave a message!).  Oh, funny old thing - recorded message left form 'the Moorcroft Group'.  Well, Moorcroft Group - go and [***] yourselves!  I hope you die of cancer.

Just give wrong details on data protection but use the correct name, takes you straight off the dailer with a polite apology for taking up your time

MOORCROFT SCUM don't give up at all simply ignore these idiots

This is from The Moorcroft Group. They are a debt liason company based in Manchester. I have dealt with them many times as they inherit debts from Barclays etc and arrange repayment plans. They are very helpful and useful and even if your on a payment plan, they still call you every 6-12moths to review it.

Can confirm its Moorcroft group so called debt collectors.
My advice is to avoid at all cost they are a scam and won't let go if you don't  reply or speek to them, they will just keep phoning you by changing last two numbers of there phone number

Probably because you  do owe it and have no proof..noone calls more than 3x a day or they wouldn't operate either

I keep getting calls from this number asking for someone else. As instructed I press 2 to say that I am not that person, but it seems to be being ignored

i just say thanks for paying my bill . then hang up

They are debt collectors for HMRC

That is wicked way to look at this. They did buy the debt and so it is payed. Lol

Just got another call from 0161 968 7065 asking for a Matthew Woodward. This has been going on for months and months now. I told them last year, never hear of him ..... take my number off you list but this idiots are still calling every day. Will need to get a better phone so I can block them.

Got a call from these people on my answerphone asking me to phone them back (darned cheek) Thanks for the heads up - will ignore them

We have received several automated calls from this number (01619687065) over the past week. They're a debt collector company, who I would advise you to ignore or block....................

The best response is no response.  Just ignore them.
Many of those who work as Debt Collectors are not polite because they are not Boy Scouts and/or Girl Guides.  They are mainly a downtrodden lot, and their ranks include ex-convicts, drug addicts, 20-somethings without high-school diplomas and a variety of other hard-luck cases.
Oh, my Gawd, they are like thugs.  However, the more clean-cut types simply can’t get the job done.  So don't expect that debt collector, who is calling you, to be nice!!!

They call upto 6 times a day for a person l have never heard of explained this to them but they still keep calling on other numbers even though I have blocked this number
