Scam!!! Just want your bank details!!!! Don't give them the time of day. Says they are for a childrens charity. BEWARE!
Different people calling, wont give names or send details through post.

Called me at 15:21 I said hello and the guy said who? I repeated and he dissed me. Attempted call back several times but busy. Later rang number again from my land line with 141 prefix and got BT lady saying number busy to use ring back key 5. Later phone rang I said hello who is that he said Ashley I asked why he had phoned me he said he hadn't I said "yes you did and in the mean time I googled your number and found out thanks to who calls me what people think of you" to which he hung up. I suggest you store him in your phone as '4KoFF Ashley' ready for next time.

Called offering advertising for my company a number of times gave a faulse website address and just hung up the phone when i said i was'nt intrested.

Ashley phoned me (Monday of this week) claiming to work for Foresters' Fund for Children. Good advertising and work opportunity. Sounded too good to be true.
When I asked for face-to-face meeting the phone was put down - total scam.
Compare phone number to number shown on website, http://www.fffc.org.uk.
0169557 is from skelmersdale, number listed on website is based in Glasgow - total scam!!

Called us today. Awaiting his call back now - can't wait.

Thanks to this website we know for sure it was a scam. It didn't feel right, but you guys have confirmed it. Scam attempted in the same way as above - fffc.org.uk etc.

Called ref www.fffc.org.uk quoting Sir Michael Caine as patron asking for £669 as donation to charity in return for a page in the charity book which is read by high net worth individuals. I asked him to email me and give me a web address and I would get back to him, he gave me the above email address but didn't send me an email or give a numer to call him back on. He says he is calling me back at 14.00 today so thanks to this website I know he is a scammer and I won't get caught out.

Basically the same information as above, said would be marketing in my local area Holywell. I thought it was strange as I am from Skelmersdale originally so recognised the code instantly. Same tacticts used regarding childrens charity and also mentioned Michael Caine. To be fair I politely declined and Ashley seemed to accept without any problem...touch wood lol

phoned 9.30.said charitable trust looking for sponsorship in local trade magazine £300.00 for small add mentioned simon weston.on  phone 10 min dropped price to £95.00, i said send me an email and we will discuss,at which point he put the phone down.

Hi everyone I run a horse feed company and was contacted by vision group to place an advert in there book. I agreed to help and I must say they did what they said they would I was sent a proof of artwork and after they sent me the finished book with my invoice for the advert. I like a lot of people looked at the web for the charity and checked them out and found them to be genuine I even phoned the charity and they confirmed that vision group are there publishers and they do a great job producing the books. I have since continued to help every year for about three years now and I felt after reading some of your misplaced coments that someone should give a true account of what they do for good childrens causes both the charity and the publisher do what I consider to be very good work and I will continue to support the book good luck guys keep up the good work regards Fred

Hi felt I had to correct you on your comments I purchased an advert from the vision group to help this charity last month the 01695 number is the publishers and the other number is the charity head quarters both are genuine and I have helped them for the last five years they sent me a copy proof first and did not ask for any payment up front I get the book every year and would like to point out to people. That they have always approached mr in a polite manner it's a real shame that people are so misinformed about this great charity

I was phone in early February. Offered ad in a "new business directory" for my area in Republic of Ireland. Offered a "credit card sized ad" for "€100". Received booklet in the post on the subject of "bullying"...what is that about? Absolutely no relevance to my business or the area where I live...never even heard of the charity (The Forester's Fund for Children). The ad is less than half the size it was supposed to be and they are now demanding payment of €120 (apparently there's an extra €20 VAT which I was never informed about)

I got a phonecall yesterday with some guy demanding payment over the phone. I said I would send in a cheque and he seemed very reluctant to let me off the phone. I have since found loads of references online to this company 'Vision' and the charity selling advertising via telephone and that its a scam so I emailed the other local businesses that took out ads and each reply I have received so far, has described a similar story, ie completely mislead regarding what the publication is, prize, size of ad, etc and one has paid for the ad already by cheque and now is being contacted as they are saying they never received the cheque despite the fact that they have already cashed it.

Also, if it was in any way a genuine fundraising effort, why the hell do they threaten a £35 late payment fees, debt collection agencies and legal action for non-payment in the small print on the back of their invoice. I have never heard of a legitimate charity operating in this threatening manner before???

Can anyone tell me what my legal rights are if I refuse to pay for this ad in an "anti-bullying" information booklet?? I have never seen these booklets distributed anywhere in my area. They seem to have found my contact details in a local free newspaper that I placed an ad in.

Hi in response to comments above I am very surprised that you have had any problems it may be helpful for everyone out there to know vision group are the genuine contracted publishers for the foresters fund for children who are a genuine registered charity my dealings with them started in 2007 when I placed an advert in there charity hand book at a cost of £99.00 for one year from when I was contacted to recieving the book I have always found them to be very polite and in no way aggressive towards me I was sent a pro forma invoice and not asked to pay until I got the book no payment details were requested over the phone and I was happy to pay and help the chariy cause when the book arrived from my experience you only ever get chased by someone for payment when you have agreed to pay on a certain date and then decide not to not very fair on the charity but that's only a personal view on the web site and in the paperwork sent it clearly shows hat 100 percent of the sale of the handbook goes to the charity and the vision group give a good percentage of there profit to the charity for the work that's involved in producing the books and finding sponsors I think that's quite fair and the charity seem fine with that after speaking with them I will continue to help were I can and hope that the vast majority of kind hearted people out there see what a great job vision group do in helping such a great cause shame there are just a few people out there that like to try and rock the apple cart for such a wonderful charity keep up the good work all at vision you still have my support

james it is a scam , and if you cant see that , then you must be apart of it . trying to convince us to part with our money , there's a mug in every town .

Hi my name is Sylvia it seems to me there is a great deal of utter rubbish posted on this site sometimes let me explain I was contacted by vision group a year ago to help the foresters fund for children I agreed to put an advert in the handbook to help the cause the book arrived as they said it would and the invoice was paid the caller that asked me to help made it clear that my £99.00 advert would allow vision group to provide a number of books which the charity would sell and the charity would keep all of the money made from the sale of the hand books as well as that I was told vision group also give twelve percent of there profits on any publishing they do to the charity to help bolster there funds I think this is a very good way of andl everyone who looks at this forum that vision group are a proper company who are contracted to the charity to produce the books which the charity sell each year the charity foresters fund for children are also a fully registered charity in the uk sometimes I don't know what all the fuss is about I will continue to help the cause and hope others do the same ?

i was phoned today from a withheld number !! stating that i could advertise in one off there books ... for a small fee, thought it was to good to be true. so asked "kayley" to send me a email. noy joy.

Rang me today- wife answered and made a note of the number, thanks to this site i know its a scam. My number is listed on the gas safe register and was only posted online yesterday. Thanks for the warning.

I have just had 01695577438 on the phone selling advertising like as above only £99 !! Ringing me back at 4 oclock! Thanks for the info will keep you posted.
