- Facts replies to Shel23 Feb 2013's MoneyBox BBC Radio 4 Programme continued to discuss the great Pension Liberation Scam with the Minister responsible for pensions, Steve Webb. Listen to the grilling Webb gets and how little the government is doing despite the £4 million a week being scammed.

For the third week we return to the growing crime of persuading people to transfer their pension savings into recently registered pension schemes and taking huge fees for illegally letting them have some of their money back. This week - the legal aspects. Is the law adequate to help trustees stop the transfer when they suspect a scam? And if not, will the Government pass new laws to protect desperate people from the crooks - and themselves? We speak to a pensions lawyer and Pensions Minister Steve Webb.

I have never had an accont with them . they told me this was not a IPP call . When I call back it was Ifonic Claims

- ChrisI agreed with Ifonic to let them claim for me against my bank and credit cards (from the same bank) for overpaid interest, I'd explained to them that other loans etc. that I'd had would be either outside the PPI time period or had not had PPI added, so they told me that two particular high street banks always had overpayments to return of interest charged.....guess what...my bank was one of those.
They told me that in the 40 year period that I'd been with the bank, there would be at least a couple of grand from each of the cards....like a complete tit, I believed them and asked for their 'legal pack'.
It came and they'd included those other loans and cards, that I'd said had no claims potential, in their up front non returnable fee. I phoned them and they gave me a new, lower, figure....dismissing it as a clerical error.
They encouraged me to pay them by direct bank transfer to 'fast track' the claim so that I'd have the money by Xmas, well, Santa's more real than their claims.....I've been chasing them up and being told that they're 'going through'......finally I get told that the claims have been closed, there's nothing to claim back....they didn't contact me, I had to call them to find this out.
The only calls I've had from them was to offer a 'free' review of my pension,...an offer I declined until they'd proved their efficiency on the other claim.......I feel pig sick at being conned like this, they were too credible, and when I tried researching them on line, I got no untoward information and their reg. no. checked out.
I don't suppose there's any come back, I'll just have to satisfy my self with firebombing their offices......if only!- Caller: Ifonic claims

- Brian| 2 repliesRecd call from Ifonic Claims - Daniel Ponsonby - gave me their address as 166/7 St Helens Road, Swansea, SA1 4DQ - tel 0845 8678770. They are licensed by Criminal Justice under CRM 24389. He stated that he could get me £1900 + 8% interest pa. on length of my mortgage because of hidden insurance premiums within my mortgage repayment. He then asked for my credit card details so he could take £99 up front fee. When I told him I do not give those details out over the phone he went ibnto long tirade about how I could not lose because if it was fraudulent the card company would re-imburse me.During this period I searched On-Line and found this page and glad that I did. Did not mention to him that as a retired banker I knew he was talking a load of bullsh*t

- abs replies to TRICIA JDid your bank refund you the money? If so did ifonic catch you for it?
- Kath| 3 repliesThe number I was given by Ifonic was 08458678770. I stupidly gave them my credit card details to deduct £297 for their solicitors to fight my case for ppi refund. Did not sleep that night (just yesterday) went online and found all these comments!!! Rang my bank to stop the payment but the thieving bandits had already applied it. My bank assures me that they will dispute it as at this moment it is their cash and not mine!!! Put the phone down on anyone who rings who is not a friend or relation! I surely will from now on. Will post the outcome as and when it happens.
