Yep, RAC customer care. Waiting on them to rescue me!!

If this is RAC breakdown and Recovery, they are a little bit late rescuing me,my company van broke down over a week ago!!!!!

My daughter got two messages, within half an hour of each other, from Hyundai. 'Just a courtesy call to see whether or not you got our brochures for the...' & she then proceeded to list each model of vehicle they manufacture! THAT is enough to put anyone off, bearing in mind that they'd already called from the showroom twice over the weekend to see if she'd made a decision yet!

I've just rung the number back to say yes she DID get the calls/brochures/etc thanks & was going to blast them for persistence. However, all I got was a stupid recorded message saying that our vehicle recovery whatever had tried to contact us....yada, yada. I put the phone down.

Upshot: It could either be your breakdown recovery service, or it could be some idiot wondering if you've got a car brochure that they sent out. Tough enough if you need recovery, but damned annoying if you don't.

This number is definitely the RAC.

They phone to keep you updated as to when the rescue van & man will arrive.

They called at 7am (woke me from sleep)!!! Didn't leave a message. I neither have or am the slightest bit interested in a Hyundai (or ever been in a showroom or asked for a brochure), neither have I broken down or have an RAC subscription. Random dialling telemarketing?

It's a scam. Random telemarketing... When you call them back the recorded voice says "Hello, your vehicle breakdown service tried to call you today. But don't worry, we'll try you again later. Thanks."  They don't say WHAT vehicle breakdown service (you'd think if it was the RAC or AA or somebody, they'd at least mention their name). Nobody in this household has a subscription to any breakdown service, or has broken down.

It is Rac customer services. They have just called me to acknowledge my complaint?

Number is RAC Roadside Assist. They provide the Audi Roadside Assist service.

As other people said, it's obviously RAC Customer Care. Problem is, when they rang me, I was too busy talking to the recovery man who came to assist me. If they wanted to tell me the recovery van was on its way, they were too late. If they wanted to ask me if my issue has been dealt with satisfactorily, they were too early. One other thing, this is a geographic  number that is free from a mobile. Yet their breakdown service is on an 0800 number which we have to pay from a mobile, and the RAC also has to pay to receive the call because it's an 0800 number. Madness! Why can't they have this 01922... number for their breakdown service instead?

As I was driving home, twenty minutes after the breakdown man had done his thing, I didn't answer - I did pull over & get the recorded message telling me that my help was on the way. I phoned RAC recovery - don't worry, the man has been'; twenty minutes after that, I got another call to tell me that they are on the way

Keep getting this call. I do not answer as it is not recognised.

Woke us up at 10 to one AM. Did not bother getting up to answer. Have no connection with this number and not a member of RAC. Reported to OFCOM.

How do they get your number if you dont even belong to the RAC? Seems odd to me that all of a sudden i am getting lots of loan and sales calls on my mobile. The only person i have given my telephone number to is Kia Customer services!!!

Said they were Hyundai and asked if I'd had my car serviced and was I still happy with it. I live in North Yorkshire - why on earth would anyone in Walsall be interested in a car I may or may not have?  Don't know what their purpose was.
