It was Kia UK customer services in my case. They left a message with an 0845 number to call back on and it was a legitimate call regarding an enquiry I'd made via the Kia UK twitter account.

Its RAC customer care just to let me know when the driver was going to be with me.

I have no reason to believe this number is part of a scam. I purchases a Hyundai a few months ago and this was Hyundai customer care completing a standard customer satisfaction survey. The only information I needed to provide was my opinions.

Break down recovery scam , answered the phone , young girl said they are following up a complain I made RE my recovery service 2 weeks ago and she needs my bank account number sort code and 3 digit security number to refund me some money.

I said ‘ I didn’t make a complaint and not giving you any of my details ! if you was the RAC you would have them wouldn’t you ! ‘ she put the phone down very quickly.

RAC Replacement Car Cover

Had a call from them purporting to be RAC regarding the repairs to my car and asking me to confirm my details. I didn't but asked them "what repairs?" Mohammed (that was the name he gave me) then told me I'd put my car into Arnold Clark for repair. I said my car had indeed gone to AC but for what repair? He replied that he needed my details to tell me that but I wouldn't give in. I told him it had gone in for a routine service NOT repair and the two things are different but if he really was RAC he would have known that. I ended the call telling him he was a scammer. Had it really been the RAC, I would have expected another call almost immediately but no. I can't see why the RAC would have details of, or be interested, in routine servicings as they'd need some mega sized computer system to hold that much information. Thinking it about it now, since booking my car in online, I am receiving scam calls daily 😡
