Report a phone call from 01923288995 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Betsy FluffybunnyReported this number to the ICO as a silent nuisance call to my elderly mother.
- susan replies to JaneThey are a nuisance. What they do is phone about 10 people at once and whoever picks the phone up first gets the call, this is why it appears as if there is no one there. They should be stopped, I will report them to the telephone preference service.
- Johnny S| 2 repliesGive the "Direct Marketing Commission" (DMC) which National Moneysavers/ McDowall Media is a member of the "Direct Marketing Association" (DMA) if you are still receiving calls from them.
DMC is the body which oversees the DMA’s DM Code of Practice. The Code and DMC are here to give effective protection to recipients, users and practitioners of direct marketing. Their aim to ensure companies observe the highest standards of integrity and trade fairly with their customers and with each other, and they do this by investigating complaints, scrutinising direct marketing issues and practices, and providing guidance to consumers.
The DMC investigates all direct marketing complaints against DMA members where the complaint is within the scope of the DM Code of Practice. If the complaint is not covered by the Code, it is referred to another relevant organisation.
You will get a much better response than TPS & ICO.
Here is the link to fill in the complaints form:-
http://www.dmcommission.com/make-a-complaint/complaints-form/
You need to be registered with TPS as one of the questions they will ask via email is "Are you registered with TPS?"
Also they will ask you for your phone number.

- Val| 1 replyMelanie Wynne boasts on her Linkedin profile she is a senior Accounts Director responsible for cold calling us:
"McDowall Media can facilitate your clients customer acquisition from a lead generation perspective. We run the National Money Savers survey. The survey is called entirely from the UK and is 100% telephone generated"
"We run 40,000 to 50,000 surveys every month.... Each day we contact thousands of consumers asking them what’s important and what products and services really interest them. "

Graham Bate, Chief Executive, McDowall Media, should come on here to answer questions. Or call him directly? - MitziGetting really tired of these phone calls now, I am a night shift worker and these people are constantly waking me up during the day, as soon as I answer the phone they just hang up!! I have tried to call this number back but it is busy every time.
- DawnI just had a call from this number this morning. An Indian woman said she was from National Money Service (definitely didn't say Savers). Before she said any more I told her I don't discuss money on the phone. She said she was doing a survey and it would only take a few minutes. I told her firmly that I don't answer questions on the telephone. She then put the phone down. I didn't even get the chance to tell her I'm registered with TPS.

- loti| 2 repliesI work for this company at the minute. It is a legit business, we conduct surveys and that is all, there genuinely is no catch. If your answers during the survey flag up that one of the brands we partner with might be able to help you to save money your details will then be passed on, but only with your permission which we are required to ask permission for before you begin the survey.
I understand cold calling is a nuisance but we are only trying to earn a living and it isn't nice when people answer the phone and give us abuse. Politely asking to be removed from the dialling list will suffice and your details are honestly wiped from the system if you politely request us do so, and the helpline number has changed recently so maybe the person you spoke to accidentally gave you the old number.
And TPS registered or not, if you don't watch what you're doing when buying online and filling out forms in banks, shops and anywhere else, your details will automatically get passed on to us no matter what if you don't tick the opt out box for having your details shared. A bit of care on your part would stop these kinds of calls.
People don't ring you up simply to annoy you, you know? There is a purpose to these calls. - Grungygrump replies to KamekazeWhen they ask questions to confirm my name and address I put on a sad tone and say "No it is not possible to speak toMr - - - , he went mad and we had to shoot him!"
If they persist I give a make of washing machine etc and then continue to take the p- - - !
Tee hee! - Johnny S replies to lotiI am sorry to say when one of your colleagues who rang us last month, the lady on the phone did not ask us for permission before the survey has started.
Even after I answered 'No Comment' to her answers, she did not asked us if we wanted to remove our number from their database. Instead she said that they will call back, which indicates she don't take the hint that we are not interested in your company and left alone in peace.
If all your callers asked in the beginning if we are interested in taking the survey and if not, asked the receiver of the call for their number to be removed plus an apology then you won't get such abuse. - TimKeep getting calls from this number. This time the claim is that they are carrying out a survey. This gets round the 'no sales calls' when registered with the TPS. I once agreed to such a survey which asked questions like 'Would you be interested in double glazing?'. I told them no to everything but then guess what. Yes, I started getting calls from double glazing companies because I had indicated that I was interested. I think some firms employ these people in good faith but are then sold rubbish leads. A friend agrees to the interview but before they start asks if they a paper and pen in front of them to make a note that he will dictate. He then starts spelling F U .....you can guess the rest!

- nuttytart replies to Brian Millerhi ring 01923288999 and complain I had 29 calls in 4 days from NATIONAL MONEYSAVERS AND after complaining to the above number they have stopped x
- Bunks replies to DrewSince getting caller display and finding this website I have only talked to one telesales caller, I was expecting a call from my Doctor's surgery and answered a witheld number. If I see a number I don't recognise I don't answer, if it is someone genuine they will leave a message. I then check the number with this site if it is a telesales number I then use the phone book facility on the phone to save the number with the name Ztimewaster1 I increase the last digit of the name by 1 for each new number I collect. The next thing to do is to set the ringtone for nusence callers to the Liberty Bell (Monty Python theme tune) . Now if I hear the Liberty Bell I don't even have to check the caller ID. I have noticed that if these people NEVER get an answer after about three weeks they give up. If you unthinkingly answer..... it don't matter how polite you are or how abusive they will keep trying for another month or so because the know they have a live number.
- jaykayThis just proves how useless OFCOM is. They are breaking all of the rules such as timeof call, silences, and ignoring the telephone preference service andstill keep coming on

- anonymous replies to lotiI just had a call from 1 of you, she asked if I had bought anything on-line or from a retail outlet lately, when I told her I was on Tps, she got very rude on the phone, when I asked her to stop shouting and being so rude, she just shouted back I`M NOT BEING RUDE,i never give out my land-line number to anyone, only my mobile number, I have now reported your number, and hopefully people like you will stop pestering other people who couldn`t care less about your surveys
- Robbie| 2 repliesI'm fed up with this lot. I've had over 30 calls from them in the past 2 weeks. You can't even tell the person at the other end to stop talking as they just waffle on over you. In frustration I phoned National Money Savers parent company, mcdowall http://www.mcdowallmedia.com/contact-us on 01923 288 999 and spoke to their sales rep Steven Burns (accessed by choosing option 2 when you phone). This was two days ago, he said he would contact the Database Manager, Kelly Edwards, and have my name removed from their database. He said it may take up to 48 hours to have my details removed (I'd love to know how they got them in the first place) so I said I would give him 72 hours grace for it to happen. Since then I have had 8 calls from this organisation so I phoned back and got through to Steven Burns again. I did lose it a bit with him but he said he would leave his desk and go straight to Kelly Edwards. I think it's probably all hot air and pi$$ what he was saying but we shall see.
I work nights as a taxi driver and they are CONSTANTLY interrupting my sleep, in fact so much that last night I couldn't go to work as I was so tired. I told him his company had cost me £100 in takings. I also said if I get so much as one more call from them I will contact the police. He couldn't apologise enough but we shall see if they cut out the phone calls to me.
I have children to feed and these people are costing me money and putting my livelihood at risk, not to mention the lives of other people if I am too tired to drive. Would anyone want to get in a taxi at 2am if you knew the driver had barely slept?

- Siobhan replies to Brian Miller| 1 replyPlease report these people for harrassment! If you have more than one call from them or are a member from the telephone preference service you can report them here www.tpsonline.org.uk/ and also get usefull advice on avoiding unsolicited calls from dodgy companies like this.
One very peed off mother. - Siobhan replies to RobbieWhat they are doing is illegal as they are breaking the data protection act. They have a responsibility to give you the contact details of the ombudsman that regulates their company so that you can report a complaint. I'm meant to be calling back at 1:30 to get it. www.tpsonline.org.uk/ - I'd also recommend joining the the tps for support and advice. I've always found them a fantastic support = we rent and move around a lot and generally get hassled at every new address.
If you can prove their company has lost you earnings through their illegal activities - and what they are doing is illegal you have grounds for suing them - especially if the income you have lost is over £200 - anything less than that and the small claims court won't touch it.
Hope that makes sense. fuming and sleep deprived. I also hope they've stopped and you're getting some sleep. X
