Just got a call from this number at home (sunday morning) - they asked for me by name then hung up when i responded...

Done the same to me -they also asked for me by name and when i asked 'who are you?' they hung up.

The code 01992 is for Waltham Cross (Hertfordshire) exchange, and numbers beginining with 78 are likely to be in the Broxbourne district. Does that help?

Twice  some one from that number has rung and hung up before I could pick up my mobile phone! strange!

since weeks this number rings me and hung up just as it happend to all of you. I am not answering anymore when I see the number. Very starnge.... What could we do?

very persistent! get around 3-4 calls every week, morning and evening for the last 4-5 weeks. Not answered any as it's obviously a deranged w**ker with a sad life!! What a prat!
Number registered as a nuisance (and sad) caller. Would suggest everyone else does the same.

How many more idiots do we have to put up with trying to attempt yet another scam!?! If you're unlucky enough to answer one of these calls, just answer 'appropriately' and HANG UP! better still, don't answer at all!

5 missed calls this Sunday morning 4th May???!!!! A bit much. Phone went to voicemail and recorded 2 guys talking, the one actually trying to get hold of me repeating how 'Sh*t' it all was....hmmm...bunch of idiots

Anyone else get their phone from carphone warehouse?? I recently bought mine from there and I've never had so many random sales and nuisance calls.
With my previous phone, the only sales calls I used to get was from my own mobile phone company, gone are those days!

Got a sales call this morning saying they were from K C Kitchens and Bedrooms, I think and were doing work in my area......yeah right! They knew my name though, but don't know how.

this number kee4ps calling me 2-3 times a day have now reported it to the police as a nuisance call its driving me mad.

yep! me too, getting persistent calls but when i answer - theres no one there or they have hung up. last call was literally moments ago, thought id google the number by chance and here we all are!!!

Nigel - thanks for the clue about kitchens. Don't know if it helps but here is a kitchen company in the right area. Could be the offender. Has anyone dealt with this firm?

I too received a call today and there was no responce from the other end - I hung up but the number is unobtainable when you call it back. I requested a catalogue from KBBC kitchens and they were VERY all on the hard sale, trying to book an appointment etc etc - wouldnt surprise me if it was them. As a sales tactic, it aint working mate! Thanks for shedding some light
